Not at all. I am exactly 5'11", and I weigh 169 lbs., as measured earlier today.

If you asked me, that means you're rather an M in IM. ;)
(yeah, and maybe not...)

Haha unfortunately I am rather top heavy :(. Time will tell, aka manana!

how do you find the length of the eidos? it worries me as I'm usually a 48/50 (small 50) and am 6" on the dot.

The eidos jacket feels shorter. But the shortness may be exacerbated by the cutaway quarters. I really can't tell you one way or another. I feel like my height is deceiving, insofar as it assumes that I am proportionally sized. I think my legs are probably longer than my torso, I feel like my torso is probably more proportional on a 5'8-5'9 person.

But I would just buy, and return if necessary.

Greg or Kyle @conceptual 4est, for me and to help other, how do you say these are sized compared to say Valstar, Schneider, Niche for a point of comparison. For instance, I'm about 150 lbs, 5'8" and take a IV in most Schneider, M in Niche, 48 in Valstar although I'm generally a small in most brands. I am thinking I would be a 48 rather than a 46. Can you help a man out?

I'm 5'9" and 148 lbs, size S in Inis and EU46 in Eidos and I have just tried both the size EU46 and EU48 of the field coat and EU46 is definitely a best fit for you and I. Greg can chime in if I'm wrong but the EU48 is definitely too big in the shoulders and waist for me (which I know can be negated with the waist drawstring), and also the sleeves on the EU48 are pretty long.

I would have said 48 based on those other sizes. The fit of the waist is largely irrelevant, it is meant to be cinched, as ezlau noted. But if you are happy with Valstar in 48 and Schneider in IV, then you should be more of a 48 for a coat like this if you want to be able to layer anything underneath.

What ever happened to the Elodea sweater? Seemingly disappeared, or it sold out superfast.

Back up on the site, sorry about that!

portuguese flannel shirts, what's the fit like?

Can anybody use Kamakura shirt or Brooks Brothers shirts as comparison?

Looks like my Formosa is coming tomorrow. On the plus side, looks like tomorrow is shaping up to be a solid day.

I don't believe any of them have been delivered yet. I ordered a few immediately and should have them at some point this week as they just dropped late Thursday night

Quick PSA : for those who missed on the Eidos field coat, be ready for something special on Monday. We'll be announcing a special MTO project with a choice of 4 fabrics. Very few units of each fabric will be available unfortunately so if you want one you will have to be quick. In the morning, we will post the four swatches so that you can decide which you like best. Around noon, we will post the links to make the orders.

That's all for now
Any updates on this?

Thanks.
