1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Greg, don't get me wrong, I love that jacket. That said, I'm a sucker for blues and browns/rust.

I saw this in person and it was sick. I would definitely be in for this.

Hmm. Any chance of doing something in pink cashmere? Or would I have to visit Attolini for that.

The Drapers looks nice. I think this is a different gun club from The Armoury/Liverano that the Unfunded Liabilities thread couldn't identify (IIRC).

Some others from Unfunded Liabilities that looked good to me.

    +1

Maybe it's a bias from living in a warmer climate but I believe a mid weight fabrics here would make more sense. A larger pool of people might be willing to buy in. I enjoy the few tweeds I own, but find I can't wear them enough to invest this kind of money into a MTO piece.

Agreed about the funky gunclub and horseblanket recommendations. Need something more basic, like a solid or slight textured fabric.

I already own about 4 hopsack navy blazers, so I'm good on that front.

Linen doesn't strike me as a great choice for a first MTO project. The guy at Chipp Tailors once remarked that he dislikes making cotton or linen items for customers. "Go wool or go home." I could go for a wool-linen blend in blue, however.

These are lovely, but I'm curious what color trousers. Mid grey doesn't seem the best choice. Brown, navy, dark grey or charcoal? I'd love to see a pic with the whole fit visible.

That said, I would be more interested in a Donegal or other tweed, blue or brown for a MTO SC from Formosa.

Greg, can you tell us a little more about the two new sport coat makers? On the formality spectrum, are they more similar to the Cantarelli style or the Camoshita ones?

My guess is on Eidos, Greg already mentioned IIRC, and LBM.

Same here. Must be a California thing. Also, the heavy tweeds just don't have a season for me on the west coast, so something adaptable to most seasons would be an easy choice for some of us, perhaps.

SW&D style? I think so. Go all out - top button left undone, tie relaxed, and rock it with some SW&D style jacket. I think it could work.
