Got the James Grose shearling DR. The shearling and suede are really soft. My 2 gripes are the seams running down on the sleeves are irritating and uncomfortable when you're not wearing long sleeves. The other is that the main zipper is ****. Sliding the male into the female gets it stuck and the slider gets stuck as well.

I had the jacket on with just a tee and didn’t notice the seams. That’s annoying since shearling is perfect to wear that way.

Zips are ok for me. I have found James Grose zips can be a little rough to start but they seems to smooth out. Maybe put some pencil led on it?

This is by design to punish people who wear jackets closed.

If you ever open a dieworkwear store, a la the Permanent Style store, I hope that you customize your jackets to have no "female" fasteners, whether zipper or button-holes.

Only on single breasted coats though. Double breasted coats would of course be designed to be worn closed.
