    Noted. Thank you
Thanks. I think we can gauge size runs before ordering, without going all the way to single-piece MTO. We'll also do trunk shows with several makers and customers will be able to MTO in some instances.
I would say XL if you are looking for a comfortable fit and L if you're looking for a trimmer/tighter fit. Here is a pic I just took of the size L on me. I wear 42 jackets, am 6'2" and 200 lbs (i.e. not really fit :embar:)

32 5/8" - we take waist measurements ourselves for consistency throughout the store. We measure trousers waist laying flat, waistband completely straight, buttoned, and measure on the outside from edge to edge.
    That was funny

I feel that I have to weigh in with a couple of comments on the slight derail :

    1. the Inis Meain sweaters we carry are a bit less tough than what lefty is describing. They can make the same Aran and Gansey sweaters in a variety of wools from "bull wool" which is tough and scratchy like steel wool - I don't wish a sweater like that on anyone - to a 30% cashmere mix. Ours are a wonderful, soft 90% merino + 10% cashmere mix. If you guys are really interested, maybe we'll do one day a special run in tough mofo scratchy wool... but for now, these are civilized pieces

    2. guys, no need to fight about what stains you'll get on your clothes. These sweaters are equal opportunity bodily fluid absorbents.

    90% merino + 10% cashmere = still cool.

I'm a bit late to the game... I'm looking forward to the shop opening, and I'm happy to hear you'll be stocking Inis Meain knitwear. I have a tradition of receiving one for Christmas for the past few years, so I am glad you'll be able to help with that! The pub jacket looks fantastic. Is the knit on the far right the Gansy? (oh, wait, I see it on the far left...)

Or is it the fisherman's pullover?

Thanks zissou ! Looking forward to your feedback - you have great taste and I'm sure will be able to give some ideas for make-ups or even makers we should be reaching out to.

Both far left and far right are the crooked sickle ("Corrán Cam") Gansey sweaters. I love those - the crooked sickle detail on the sleeve is a nice touch :

    A vote for 38S.

That pub jacket makes me think I need some heavy denim to go with it. May need to hit another SF affiliate.

How about a safari jacket like Dieworkwear's in Solbiati linen? I hate putting stuff in the pockets of my trousers when it's hot and humid and I don't have a really light shirt jacket to wear.

Perhaps with a cleaner look and a slimmer cut, like this one (which is for fall/winter):
