Essentially then, you sized up to wear with the liner. You typically wear an XL in common (non-Japanese) brands?

I think you'll be fine with Large. I'm 6'2" 185, 42L, and Large worked best. Slightly constricting over a sport coat, but I only wear it that way maybe a quarter of the time. If you're a 40, I would expect even less of an issue there.

It's a phenomenal jacket—very flattering. I get compliments literally every time I wear it.

This is so cool in person - every season, there are a few pieces that are knockouts in person but seem to linger all through the sales. This is one of those pieces for sure. Love everything about it. For $300 now? :butbut:

The Kaptain Sunshine green oversized parka is also incredible and I think we have it in every size still

Does this run true to size? Notes say to size up but the measurements look like TTS. I have the Blue Blue Japan Sashiko chore coat and size up to a L in that but your measurements seem to confirm it runs small vs the flight jacket.

It can be worn TTS - I need the size up personally for the sleeve length, but body wise, could wear the L for a slightly slimmer fit.

I remember those buttero boots one season lingered. Should have gotten them. And the naissance shearling in Black. Whatever happened to that jacket?

Would have gotten this one if I didn't get 5 bombers last year. Also a preference to buttons instead of zips. I'm mining through the huge sale list and putting a bunch of stuff in my wishlist right now. This may still pop up :)

I've loved Kaptain Sunshine every season, I really wish they made trousers one size larger. That 33" waist on the biggest size really cuts out a lot of us. I'll also shout out to Fujito, Naissance, Document - you've done a great job in finding cool brands and bringing them to my attention.

@conceptual 4est what size do you take in the Schneider track jacket? I am thinking a 5 would be my go-to, but shoulder measurements seem pretty narrow.

Was hopeful due to the shoulder/chest measurements and wanted to pick up the XS Moscow in Green Hopsack. =(
Guess I'm holding out for next season, thanks for the sizing advice!
