1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Does this look too tight? This is the Eidos FJ in 52. Looks great when open, but you can see the pull on the top button when buttoned up. It's not terribly restricting, though I might be rationalizing since the 54 is out of stock. For reference, 6'2" 185. Thanks.

I am by no means an expert, but with your shoulder shape, that may be causing the pulling.
I would bet that if you buttoned the top button, the second wouldn't pull the same way.
Take my opinion with a grain of salt, please.

I have a penchant for wearing ridiculously robust outerwear over a t-shirt and jeans here in Cali. Halp.

I'm no expert either but I think it looks good.

And as you said, open it looks great. But I never button my FJ.

Shoulders and sleeve length look good.

Now flip that collar and enjoy! [IMG]

Me too. It was actually 60 degrees the last 2 mornings in S. Fl., but it warms up.

Guys I see down here still wear shorts and flip flops in cold weather. Can you imagine the looks I get in my SS Juncus or Eidos FJ.

Anyone own the Jamieon's shawl collar and a fair isle? Just looking to see if I should size the same on both - had a buddy recommend sizing up on the fair isle and just wanted to check if I should be the same size in both.

@King Calder you may want to look in the mirror. A larger member of the family mustelidae appears to have climbed atop your head.

If you will primarily wear it open, then it looks great. And the times you button it up, it looks good enough. I wouldn't fret about it one bit. If you wanted to wear primarily with heavier under layers and button up, the 54 would be the way to go.

Relatedly, yesterday I wore more and heavier layers than I typically would under my Valstar field jacket. No need to button with that many layers and the size is perfect with fewer layers (Fox Brothers hat and Begg & Co. scarf): [IMG]

If that's how you would normally layer it, keep that size.
