1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Yeah, they felt fine sitting down. That is my typical test as well.

Is the Inis boatbuilder a bit slimmer? The more I see it in all the pictures, the more I want it.

Slimmer than what? It's such a nice sweater - looks rugged as hell, but is actually incredibly soft and comfortable

I think it looks great. Like something Steve McQueen might have worn. And the measurements, at least for the large, look a touch slimmer maybe than other IM models.

Any size guidance on the Eidos Sam trousers? I'm waffling between a 32 and 34.

I wear a 46 in my wool Rotas and I have a 31-32" waist. However, these pants would have a higher rise and would sit higher than my Rotas, so maybe I would need a larger size.

Greg, on Rota trousers, what is the purpose of that little looped fabric tab at the middle of the waistband above the fly.

On the Eidos whipcords, are they less breathable than conventional corduroys? Would they be ok for S. Florida? Maybe 2 seasons. Or 3?

The tab is to keep your belt buckle always centered. The prong of the buckle goes through that little loop before you fasten the belt.

I can't say I ever thought of corduroy as breathable, to be honest. The whipcord fabric is probably less warm wearing than most corduroys I know. I would consider those as 3-season.

Maybe this is intentional, but I was a bit confused by the fact that the first images I saw of the trousers when I clicked on them on were inside out (on mobile).

@gdl203 thanks for entertaining me and being a gracious host this evening :slayer:

got a chance to visit NMWA briefly after work. picked up a bunch of staple inglese shirts and tried on the burgundy camoshita suit and the new leather jacket offerings

now need to somehow justify the price of the rider and corduroy suit :embar:

That's a next level of clever.

Yeah, breathable was the wrong word. Less warm being better.

The whipcords sound like maybe a 2 season Florida trouser?

Wow. That makes perfect sense but I never thought about using it that way (honestly, never thought about how to use it; just figured it was some cool fancy trouser thing). Good to know.

Now what you do with it on trousers with no belt loops is a different question. Reserve boutonniere, perhaps?

They should really not be there on trousers with no loops... They won't be on future iterations

Your only issue is if you have to go to the bathroom. Removing your pants becomes challenging lol. Not from experience but I was once told it
