The pocket is more of a question than the placket in my opinion.

    Didn't notice that.

    Pocket needs a placket.

ON NO! The pocket needs a placket now too? And I cut the return tag off already. I'm going to have to live with this.

Yeah, if Malat is even a few kg bigger, especially through the shoulders, I would definitely go for the 50. I'm about his size (5'11", and I say 175 lbs, but I'm lying by a few lbs), with a 40" chest, and I'm a 50 is pretty much all of the "sharper" Italian brands. If Malat is reading, and cares, both presumptions on my part, this includes the more tailored Belvest pieces, Attolini, and Kiton. In Luciano Barbera, I am usually a 48 in the tailored pieces, but mostly, those are very casual sportsjackets.

I am also a 8US/7UK and surprised you guys don't carry that size as most shops do. I am interested in buying some Alfred Sargent and Vass but I know 7.5UK will not be a good fit. Any plans in the future for a size 7UK? Would the 41 in the Vass grain norweger be a true 7UK? And I think your selection of shoes and clothing are unmatched by any other shop out there! [IMG]

First of all - awesome gift - all wives reading this should take note. Second, the Buttero tanino low sneakers and the Common Projects achilles low sneakers fit approximately the same. The Buttero sneakers are perhaps a tiny bit more wide, maybe because the Common Projects are lined and padded, while the Butteros are completely unlined. However, the Buttero leather is pretty thick, while Common Projects are usually made with softer leather, so the Butteros may feel initially a bit smaller. I would get the same size. For reference, I am a size 43 in both Butteros and Common Projects sneakers, and have numerous pairs of each.

Bad news--I have decided to return the Taupe Casentino SB jacket.

But excellent news--I am most definitely keeping the navy DB! It is delicious.

Reading up on the last pages of this thread makes me think Greg needs to be selling his hangers too. :)
