Thanks, buddy. I will certainly post up some fit pics as soon as I have it ready. I have already picked out the shirt, tie and shoes I will be wearing with it on the maiden voyage.

That's fine, just bring it to model for a bit.

I love the fabric on it though, and was really impressed with the suits and fabric choices when I saw them in person. Looking forward to seeing fit pics when you get it back from the tailor.

That was a good article: perfect for us fantasists. Your wife sounds like a cool lady; it's nice when our companions share our aesthetic passions. A welcome change of pace from posters who treat their shopping like a bad gambling habit and talk about smuggling things into the house -- which would be laughable if it weren't sad.

Not uncommonly seen in use by Italian tailors of repute, too.

Thanks. She is a cool lady. I don't always announce my purchases, thought ultimately that's kind of silly since it's not like you can wear an overcoat secretly. Anyway, I am at a point where I'm essentially a collector of clothing and shoes. I have far more than I can practically wear or even remotely need. So I think she accepts it as my hobby. I still do feel a little embarrassed at times (such as when I buy a second cold weather coat in the span of a month... ahem... :))

ZOMG! This suit is all sorts of awesome. God I want to try one! Regarding those hangers, pretty sure they are Mainetti and you can buy directly from them but I think there's a minimum. Also you can create your own custom nameplate. :slayer:

Had a look. They do seem to be the same or very similar. And I only have to buy 30 at a time?

Has anyone picked up one of the Cantarelli sport coats? I really want the green one, but am nervous about the fit on my "athletic" frame. Any fit pics or references from folks here?

I'm by no means athletic

but I can take a few quick snaps here if you'd like. They fit trim so I recommend to size up if not sure

Wearing 54L here. Typically a 52-54 Euro size.

Next time I will try smiling too

No, no. Don't smile. That's your look that says you are serious about your advice to size up.

Although that then very much tempts me to try the navy basketweave in the 52...

yo g, no smile is just my style!

also, i have a cantarelli SC i picked up in the spring (BEFORE I KNEW ABOUT NMWA), its fits very trim, and is very high in the armholes. sizing up is probably not a bad idea for anyone with an athletic build, or like me, a fat build. or maybe just anyone in general.

also, drakes in action!!!

Perfect length for me but some people like their jackets longer (or shorter).

I'm 6'2"

Greg, the Calabrese bags, are they actually made by Calabrese, or just branded by them? Is the leather rugged enough to get a bit thrown around, or is it quite delicate?
