This is one where there is room for interpretation, depending on how you want to wear it. Order your typical suit size for a slim fit, not a ton of room for heavy knitwear. Size up one for a more comfort fit and room for layering.

For those that are sleeping on the SdC duffel...don't! The stretch wool makes layering a breeze and helps keep me nice and warm while I'm praying for the T to arrive. I particularly like that the sleeves are lined, as it makes sliding the coat on and off easier.

So I just received the Vass Cognac Alt Wien Derby (along with some other cool stuff) and I apparently chose a half size too large. Final sale/no returns and all my fault so it looks like I'm stuck with them. My question is whether they look ok or are they pretty much clown shoes? Should I keep and wear or try to sell?
Any advice would be appreciated.

So here are my thoughts: In reality, I doubt that 1/2 size will be noticed by anyone as this is totally within the normal variance of shoe sizing and human anatomy. A guy your height/weight etc could easily have a 1/2 size up or down and not be noticeably/bizarrely proportioned.

I think the real question is, how are they on the foot? If the half size is going to be distracting or change the way you walk, sell them. I've made this mistake before and I never really got over the foot feel of the shoe. Probably gonna list a pair of loafers that I played this game with.

Now, to answer your question specifically: your left foot looks rather large in the photo but I think its due the camera angle/stance. Some bizarre foreshortening going on there and I'd bet it looks a lot less exaggerated in real life.

Thanks, Swangerman! It does kind of feel like my heel is slipping out a bit when I walk. I'll have to think hard about this.

@ChaconneConsider getting a pair of insoles. They can help take up the extra space and lock your heel in better. Amazon has nice leather ones from Tacco for $11 or so. You can put those in and wear them around the house to see if that helps.

Edit: this assumes they don't have the 1/2 sizs smaller in stock for an exchange.

If we have the smaller size in stock, we can exchange it for you, Chaconne

Also, did you guys see that we recently passed the 1 million views mark? [IMG]

IIRC the designer was even wearing it at the stand.

Thanks, Frank. I didn't think of that. I'll give it a try.

Thanks, Greg, but it looks like the smaller size, which would be a 42, is out of stock:( I should have been more careful with my measuring.

Congrats on the 1 million views!
