As outerwear I don't think you'd wear this instead of a sportcoat. I wear the Alva over a sportcoat on ocassion. It's long enough to covet the sportcoat so it works in my book. Don't know if this one is the same length.

I picked up the Kamloops Esemplare ripstop sweatshirt in an L, and really like the fit, but I'm not sure how it compares in size to the SS pine quilted sweatshirt (that I also want to kop) since I had to order one size up on the Esemplare from my usual size.

Would the SS equivalent for the pine quilted piece be a size 6? or 5?

I would guess 5. I'm always at least an XL (sometimes XXL) in Esemplare and I usually take 6 in SS. I haven't tried on those particular pieces though.

    This. Maybe even a 4

I'm a XXL in the ripstop (wearing it right now in fact) and take a 6 in SS

With January around the corner, I'm really excited to see NMWA's spring stock.

Looking forward to picking up some of the brands I missed out on this past year: Niche, Esemplare, in particular. I expect there'll be some new stuff that will be stocked, which will surprise me (like SdC) and I'll love.

Can't wait. And thanks to everyone at NMWA for making clothing so much fun.

You're a bastard (but a stylish one) for looking so good in that jacket. I love that one, but when I checked it out on a visit to NMWA the relatively cropped cut didn't work for my Gumbyesque torso and arms.
Glad it found a good home, though.

Got a rota question, I am 29.5 waist so usually take 30 waist (i.e. EU 46), though looking on the website, looks like 44 has 31.1in on waist. Is that because the rise is 10in? I take 30in in most pants (Polo Ralph Lauren made in Italy, RLBL, and most Incotex)

You will definitely want to go with a size 46 in the wool/heavy cotton. I have a 31/32 inch waist and the size 48 fit me perfectly. You could even size up to the 48 if you want to little bit of a fuller leg and then take the waste in.

If you measure your best fitting trousers the same way we do (completely flat, buttoned, with the waistband completely straight - not curved), you'll be able to compare properly.

    You're likely a 46 and not 44, if you are typically a US 30
