Unfortunately I think I am going to have to be out on this one, have a fairly large amount of funds committed to other projects right now :(.

I'm still not sold on peak lapels and I thought that we'd talked about flapped pockets, not besom, since people can just tuck in the flaps.

I don't mind either peak/notch or flapped/besom. If any of you feel strongly one way or the other, I'll go with you.

Received the Fat Carter today, I have to say it is beautiful. Does anyone know if it requires regular conditioning due to its leather nature (reno, etc)?

I wouldn't baby it too much. If areas look or feel dry, just use any leather conditioner and let it develop its patina and change shape with use.

(I know there is a 10,000 post thread with people discussing leather pH and waging a holy war over who knows more about shoe care, but... really...)

I'm trying to add an email notification for an item that's out of stock but after entering my email and clicking notify me nothing happens. Is there supposed to be a confirmation? Will I be notified?

^ fwiw, I've had the same uncertainty. Using IE, on Windows 8.1 and a Lumia 830, if that matters.

This is going to sound a bit weird, but you know what's kind of cool? Going through the gallery of pics in this thread at all of the beautiful items. Try it. OK, a lull in the holiday festivities and I wanted to check out something to sooth the mind.

I can't do this. I'd end up spending too much.

Do you have any good pictures of aged La Portegna leather?

I'm not sure if this counts as aged really, but I've used my La Portegna pretty sparingly and it already has some patina:
