Thanks, but nope, legit inquiry on 2 counts: 1) I seem to have a tendency to go a little big on outerwear, so just looking for some objective feedback on that, 2) though the pattern's pretty bold, the cut is fairly classic and as I'm an infrequent wearer of CM, trying to get a sense if it works as I'm wearing it here, or similar.

Also, thanks for additional input from others--it's helpful, and a bit reassuring. And while I'm at it, recs for a scarf to go with it?
The coat is awesome but I almost never wear CM either so I would sell it and get something that goes better with your wardrobe. No point in staring at unworn nice things in your closet.

@mossrockss

Mine is the "Grey & taupe donegal herringbone raglan sleeve overcoat, 600g wool", which appears to be the same one you are looking for in your signature... unfortunately mine is a size 54 (with the sleeves slightly shortened).

Haha okay, thanks. Just leaving no stone un-turned!

Get back to me after Thanksgiving. You may need that 54 after a turkey dinner and a couple hot browns from the leftovers.

Personally I would go with a darker, plain grey so it doesn’t get to busy (since the pattern is pretty bold). A really dark navy would look great as well.

Hi all-

I recently got an unlined valstarino. The sleeves were too long for me so I took it to a tailor to get them shortened. However the job was not well done and now the seems are outside of the jacket, rather than in. Basically, it just looks very sloppy. Does anyone have any recommendations of where to send the jacket to get it properly altered? I'm located on the east coast if that makes a difference. Cheers

There's actually one Large in stock right now

I’m a big fan of that one.

I have a few pair of Rota I love and that get a lot of use in the summer from a few years back. I think you called them "crisp wool" or something like that. They are very much like Fresco, but they certainly could be another high twist, open weave fabric. They hang great, hold a crease, resist wrinkles, are "heavy" and very breathable. Is that fabric still available? I can't tell just from looking at the swatches.
