Trying to decide if this Eidos coat that's been sitting in my closet for a while should stay or be released. Feedback welcome (aside from obvious sleeve length).

Yes for freezing temps. Very warm!

Most NMWA outwear is at least good for 0C to -5C, some of the heavier stuff (NR Moscow) is probably good until -20C, much below that I would go with outdoor gear (I hate layering, otherwise with beefy sweater can probably go lower with NR)

That coat looks awesome.

I have a similar Eidos donegal herringbone raglan sleeve overcoat but would trade it for that one with the larger herringbone pattern in a heartbeat.

Thanks, but nope, legit inquiry on 2 counts: 1) I seem to have a tendency to go a little big on outerwear, so just looking for some objective feedback on that, 2) though the pattern's pretty bold, the cut is fairly classic and as I'm an infrequent wearer of CM, trying to get a sense if it works as I'm wearing it here, or similar.

Also, thanks for additional input from others--it's helpful, and a bit reassuring. And while I'm at it, recs for a scarf to go with it?

1. Oversized outerwear is the way to go, IMO. Seems like you can squeeze in a midlayer if you feel like just wearing a shirt underneath is not enough.
2. Well, it would depend on what else you're wearing. Getting a silk scarf so the sheen contrasts against the rough herringbone could be good. If it's in an non-repeating pattern it would also not overwhelm with too much patterns. Maybe this Calabasas 1924 silk scarf (might be too much blue for your tastes if paired with pictured ensemble)?
