Funny you should mention it. Wore white shoes with them this morning and swapped out for Heschung in the afternoon.

Curious, what are people’s takes on matching black denim with brown shoes? Wouldn’t surprise me if @dieworkwear has a blog post on it. Seems a pretty divided take.

I think things are often on a case-by-case basis once you get outside of classic menswear. Generally speaking though, I only wear white sneakers or black shoes with black denim. But I'm also usually wearing charcoal or black outerwear with black jeans, so it would be strange to wear brown shoes in those cases.

But I'm also usually wearing charcoal or black outerwear with black jeans, so it would be strange to wear brown shoes in those cases.

The brown shoes were more to push personal style boundaries with the overall look. Personally, I think given the neutral sweater, and matte black denim, a brown tone is ok. If the jeans had more black "sheen" to them I think it would look way off. But admittedly I tend to agree with @cyc wid it and prefer the overall look with the white sneakers I was wearing earlier.

not california, but my brother in seattle says normal ups shipping takes close to a week. iirc greg posted a map in here once with estimates of how long it takes for ups to ship to a given region

I live in CA and find that if the item is shipped Monday I receive it Friday or the following Monday. UPS Ground does not deliver Saturday. So, if you REALLY need it, I would suggest not taking the chance and doling out the extra dough for faster shipping.

Same thing for me as with @Man with Apple. I live in the L.A. area and UPS takes one week to get to me from the East coast.

Depends on your tolerance for risk. If it’s an absolute must have by Saturday, I’d recommend paying for certainty.

I live in the real LA, i.e., Louisiana. And I am indeed still wearing RTW and bespoke suits - six days a week (the firm I work for is suit / SC and tie, no casual Fridays).

I've done it but IMHO the boots have to be very dark brown.
