Wanted to post this to reiterate my love for Leder's fabrics. This is the greatcoat for NMWA special a couple of years ago. Was my Main Winter Coat for a number of years and the pilling really brings out a casentino wool quality without being the nutso pricetag. Truly a special piece, and how the Charcoal one from this season is still sitting in full sizes I'll never understand!

A tighter cut than most of the double breasted greatcoat styles I've tried, but that works well as it's the rare one that doesn't feel off wearing open.

Also can't wait to see what yarns you guys pick for the IM beanies next F/W

For all the attention on the Kaptain Sunshine Traveler coat, the Norwegian Rain Moscow coat is by far my favorite piece of outerwear. I can't imagine winter without it anymore. I balk at outerwear that cost more than a thousand dollars, particularly CM wool topcoats that have mediocre functionality imo. The Norwegian Rain coats are functional AND beautiful. If you're on the edge, just take the leap of faith.

How warm is the TSS Reefer coat? Very cool looking fabric but wanted to know whether the wool blend was durable or scratchy.

I wear my NR Moscow all the time. The thing is an absolute beast.

My only qualm with it is that I am probably in between sizes. Still, it is completely awesome, and blocks wind, rain, sleet, etc.

Yea it's almost worth it to pick up a Bumfreezer or something in L just to allow more thicker outfits.

I live in NYC and walk around a lot. On a winter day with nasty weather, I now have a perfect go-to outfit: wear the Moscow, my rabbit-fur lined Merola peccary gloves, and now the shearling Heschung boots. So cozy and I don't feel cold at all. After the polar vortex a few years ago, much easier to convince myself to spend $$ on Norwegian Rain instead of boring Canadian Goose (not to mention all the ethics concerns)

I will second NR but would vote for the parka, as I get use out of during 3 seasons. Winter with the shearling collar and quilted insert but remove both and it’s extremely capable and comfortable in the fall and early spring. The brick color way would be fantastic as a subdued but interesting color.

Fantastic pickups, @Trayco. I don’t think the S&C knit is too small. It’s definitely less slouchy, though. I’m glad I picked up another, this time in navy. I think it’ll be my most worn sweater.

Thanks!
Yea the small feels good and will also stretch. Very happy. I’m really digging the Kelly green for a pop in my wardrobe.

The trick is to simply have two NR jackets. Moscow for cold and something else for warm. I have an S-Cape which is my most complimented piece of outerwear (my soul left my body when the girl at the dry cleaner's called it a "nice Harry Potter coat" though)

this is new and very very concerning (and not just from the perspective of delay)

You could look at it that way, or you could think: how ******* amazing that a train derailment delays things by a single day! What a time to be alive.
