I purchased it specifically because I live in a milder climate. Throwing the SdC trench over a shirt is great for 50s-60s F weather.

Sometimes, depending on timing, I’ve gotten lucky like that too.
Recently I ordered an item mid day, it was packed, shipped and picked up by UPS the same day. UPS had it on my doorstep the next day!

So pretty lightweight overall? I'm in a milder climate but I don't want this thing to be useless if it gets into the low 30s without extensive layering.

I would say it's pretty lightweight, right. I'm in San Diego so I can't tell you if it'll handle low 30s. There's the drop video in which the NMWA talks a bit about the coat. The trench is discussed around the middle of the video.
