Got this for my wife to try on since I know she loves this mustard color.

Size small IM Aran. For reference, she is about 5’2”, 115lbs.

She isn’t typically an oversized clothing fan, but this one may sway her a little. Her first comment was, “It’s soooo soft.”

Great fit ^^^ I always thought those style of sweaters look best on men & women with a bit of room and not tight.

I agree. I don’t like them being too fitted. I have the IM Trellis sweater from a few years back in a size large that I love wearing on its own or over a OCBD.

I ended up ordering this same Aran in XL because I wanted to see how the fit compared. Looking forward to trying it on at home in a couple hours!

Think I know the answer, but hoping against all hope.

Unpacked my sweater and I think (???) that I got some moth holes. Any recommendations on how to repair this (or if we're running this sweater back sometime)?.

One of my favorite sweaters too. Only regret is that I didn't wear it more o_O

I vote for darning it yourself. Use matching color yarn, but don't worry about matching too closely. IMO, a sweater like that -- one with fisherman heritage -- would look great with repairs. Then wear it with things like beat-up jeans.

You can find darning thread on Amazon and darning tutorials on YouTube. The process is pretty easy.

I got holes in a ts(s) turtleneck and I just cannot tell if it was moths. Each hole goes from the front through to the back of the sweater, and there are three holes. Kind of think it was caught on something. But it’s caused me a lot of anxiety.

Here's what you should do:

1. Darn it yourself

2. List it on eBay and describe it as a special collab between Inis Meain and Ateliers & Repairs/ Greg Lauren/ Kapital.

3. Make three times what you paid for the sweater

4. Realize this can be a business

5. Grow a small moth colony, which you keep in a sealed-off room in your home.

6. Throw expensive clothes in there every once in a while. Repair and repeat

for the ones you don't want to feed to moths,

  1. Build a Cedar chest
  2. Get a toolkit labeled "build a Cedar chest" from shed
  3. Ask Mutt to build it for you

I'd put the sweater in a plastic bag and put the whole thing in the freezer for a few days to make sure that any eggs are killed, if it was moths or other bugs.

If you don't want to darn it yourself, you might be able to find someone who does that kind of repair. I found someone through Yelp who primarily does quilting but also said that she could do a re-weaving/darning repair on a sweater that also had some ambiguous holes.

Any faves?
All are great, really like when you guys post styled suggestions. Love the first and last fits, really what I’m feeling lately as “wear anywhere” type outfits that work for the casual office and the weekend too
