With respect to the Inglese preorders, and just speaking for myself, but: (1) I have significantly less of a need for dress shirts right now with COVID-19 and I really don't know what my office environment will look like when I return; and (2) the timing of this pre-order is not great because we are in the beginning of fall drops!

That said, I have never pre-ordered anything from Inglese because I can always find something that the store picked up, so my opinion does not have much relevance.

Personally, I think I've made an Inglese pre-order 4 or 5 times. If this a normal year, I'd be in for a camp collar seersucker and a striped linen/cotton Miami collar, but I work on a project to project basis. Generally, when I finish a film, I take a couple weeks off and start a new one. With Covid, I'm not sure that's going to be the case once I wrap on my current one so I'm just in a complete jawn-buying freeze until something firms up. Crossing my fingers that there will be stock of what I would order, but in the future, I would likely take advantage of pre-orders again.

I am missing something here? I guess it depends on one's definition of 'dress shirt', but all the links I see are for casual shirts....:confused2:

Dress shirts are their primary offering typically.

G. Inglese is my favorite brand you carry.

Just ordered one of the one-piece button collars. Thinking about a few more.

My work doesn't require dress shirts but I wear them because I like to look my best and show respect for those around me even if they don't respect themselves (2/10). That said, as much as there is to like about GI, I prefer a plain sleeve and a slightly more relaxed fit for outfits without a coat and tie.
