So how do you get these two beauties for less than $200 combined? Thanks @gdl203 and @SpooPoker for NMWA/LuxeSwap trade-ups :-D

No squares this time. Do people still buy pocket squares? We stock maybe 1/10th of the stock of pocket squares we sold 5 years ago, and still can't seem to sell more than 20% of them throughout the season. That category is even more dead than neckties for us

I stopped wearing pocket squares less and less in 2019. Once Covid hit, PS were done for me.

Early in the pandemic, I still wore a sportcoat & tie to enforce process discipline of working from home...I still do, but less with ties.

As time wears on I find myself reaching for more casual but smart clothing. Also to combat the isolation, I also spend more time outside and I find that I tend to wear clothing that transitions well from 'work from home' to more active outdoor endeavors.

My wife reclaimed my Portuguese flannel Cat Town shirt after it accidentally got washed hot and tumble-dried hot, shrinking a good two sizes ? .The texture is great, though. I think they should remake this one with preshrunk fabric.

I washed and dried this same shirt hoping to lose a little size. I initially thought I overshrunk it. However, a lot of the apparent loss in size came back after ironing, and it's still totally wearable for me. I did prefer the texture post-drying/pre-ironing, though.

Also still a pocket square buyer and wearer. But I understand that the market has significantly diminished, which makes me a little sad because I think square design is a lot of fun. I actually think that they're still the best things that Drake's puts out. Rumisu is doing unique stuff. Etc.

As for Ikiré Jones, for those what don't know, Walé is a Styleforum old-timer. He's wondered on social media whether to continue making squares at all. I think a NMWA x IJ collaboration would be very cool, but squares don't strike me as the likely starting point.

Any suggestions on what occasions I can wear the
SAGE DE CRET
Three button "piping" jacket in brown and black puppytooth linen with the separates on?
I'm guessing too informal for a wedding and wedding reception?
Thanks.
Too informal for a wedding, unless the dress code is specifically casual (beach wedding, etc...)

This is more something that you'd wear when dining out with friends (a distant concept), hanging out in town, going out for dinner or a drink, etc... All those things we used to do

I really like their minimalist leathers, but oof it's hard at that price point.

Good to know! After this wash I'll hang-dry and then give it a good ironing.

Second for any and all things Ikire Jones. They have scarves that use the same art. I don't know if they wholesale their jackets and tunics, but they're also amazing.

@gdl203 did it! After four years of requests in this thread, over email, and Instagram, we’re able to reissue the legendary Naissance Grizzly jacket in both the original brown as well as new black colorways.

A personal favorite of mine, I can confidently say it is in my all-time top three favorite items from the store (and life). It’s a really, really cool alternative to a shearling or other waist-length fall/winter coat, and they nailed all of the details. The lambskin body and shearling mean it’s really soft, with a totally different feel to the heavy and stiff grizzly jackets you typically see, but the blanket lining (and shearling body, and wool knit inner cuffs) make it genuinely warm when you zip it up. The lack of waist belt gives it a cleaner look, opting for some adjustable side buckles instead.

It’s good for hiking in Arizona in January.

It’s good for chilling in Brooklyn.

It’s good for eating an overflowing MEGAYAKI at a New Year’s street fair.

And everything in between.

Naissance quoted us four months for production and delivery with an ETA of November, which is when it will start getting properly cold for most of us. We’ll be wrapping up the pre-orders pretty quickly because of this, closing them at the end of the week. Be sure to use PREORDER15 for your pre-order discount, and post up your pics if you have them!

For sizing, I recommend ordering your typical Japanese brand size, or one size up from your typical US size. My grizzly is a Medium and is spot on.

You can pre-order a reissue of the original brown one here.

You can pre-order the all-new black version here. Please note these photos are renderings and @g transistor and @troika 's best approximations of what it will look like. There are some details we don’t know about – zipper color and lining color most notably, but I trust they’ll do a good job.
