I wear a size US9.5 (EU42.5) shoe and the Castaner espadrilles in size 42 are perfect after a little bit of break-in time. My guess is that you would take a size 40.

I’m not sure you’ll see any difference on a fit pic with the lighter canvassing. It’s purely internal and makes the garment lighter. Won’t show on a pic

my apologies ... i meant photos just for pure visual interest of the cloths you chose, but would also love to hear feedback.
