I personally am looking for a lightweight wool suit in a light-ish Navy, on the warmer side (i.e. not a super cool navy that flirts with grey). May do an MTO if something like that isn't offered!
Light as in not heavy or not dark? You didn’t like the navy 4-ply we offered this last summer?

1. Likely preorder in March, delivery by june. Haven’t put the samples into production yet. Anything you guys would want to see/order?
I'm a sucker for spring/summer "faux tweed" sort of fabrics (checks, gun clubs, etc with a bit of texture). Thinking of fabrics like that lovely M&E gun club y'all did last year.

@gdl203 Is it the right time to bug you with a Jamiesons request? I would love to have this in a vest.

If you ever had the luck of shopping for fair isle with Jamiesons, you would come to the realization that there are probably 30 patterns that look like this one. They have hundreds and hundreds of swatches/knitdowns and sometimes 10 look pretty much the same (one color out 15 changes, and they make a new code).

So, it's very very difficult to know, from this picture, what this particular code is. I can always show the pic, but then I'll definitely need to see the knitdown in person to see if we like it

That makes sense. I mostly just like those colors- light & medium blues and light browns. The pattern doesn’t matter to me.

I'm sure they would be able to recommend something similar even if they don't know exactly which code this is. It's kinda nuts the number of combinations they create

Just curious, how do you all wear this polo?
Do you all layer over a tee or collared shirt or just wear on skin?

Inis_Meain_Made_in_Ireland_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Long_sleeve_saddle_shoulder_polo_in_Rust_Marl_alpaca_and_silk_6_900x.jpg

You could do either. I personally wear it over a tee or open collared shirt because (1) so comfy and (2) the fabric composition is delicate enough that I'm happy to avoid washing as much as possible.

I picked this up and found it way too itchy to wear on skin personally.

Long sleeve tee for me. I cannot wear sweaters on my skin, even the softest merino or cashmere. Wool jersey, for some reason, is fine.
OP, I am sure you got plenty of input already.

I don't have that exact IM knit, but the same composition in turtlenecks, just a short sleeve tee underneath for me (I'd wear a V-neck with the polo)

Not as sensitive to knits on skin as others, but always have at least something (usually a short sleeve tee) to keep the knits fresh and reduce number of washes per season

There's one size M Okochi Meriyasu basketweave in cream back in stock in case one of y'all is in need
I totally missed it in Large. Got right past me somehow. Hoping for pre-orders for next season. Love a good white sweater and will pounce on Mifune-wear whenever I can find it.

Apologies for the vagueness, but what is the general consensus on sizing for Valstar shearling? TTS? Would a 54 be appropriate for somebody who wears a a 42 in the KS traveler?

My experience is that it depends on the model. The Valstarino or trucker jackets in shearling fit on the slim side; hence, I have needed to size up (I usually wear EU 50, but need to wear 52 in these models). However, the aviator jacket models (for example, https://www.valstarmilano.com/vl_us_en/aviator-jacket-4219.html) fit true to size and I wear my typical EU 50 size.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
