It's lower than the mock neck on the basketweave so we're calling it crew. You can call it mock if you prefer, but it's not the same neck

is the crewneck similar in height to chamula crewnecks? As that is the height of crew before it gets a bit irritating on the neck for me.

Dang, Document bringing the 🔥 to keep us warm all winter. I'm in between sizes and am tempted to size down on an overshirt. But they look so good slightly oversized... Maybe I should go up.

Edit: grabbed this one in L.

Wow, this piece is voluminous and part of my brain is yelling at me to size down while most of my brain is loving the cozy feeling of being wrapped up in a big shirt jacket blanket. 🥰 I think I could use more Document in my life.

Yeah, I'm a skinny dude. Got it in a medium. I keep trying it on and wondering if it's too voluminous for me, but then I realize just how damn comfortable the thing is. (And I can't imagine going down to a small because I'd run into sleeve length issues.)

Quick reminder that preorders close tomorrow so we can collate and confirm orders on Monday

FW24 Tailoring Capsule

Here we go... we'll keep those up for the rest of the week and collate orders on Sunday/Monday so we can get fabric orders placed and try to ensure a mid-November delivery

As always, PREORDER15 for your 15% pre-order discount.

This Fall/Winter is heavily dedicated to the awesomeness of Fox Brothers, with a variety of cloth options from their best fabrics and also from their deadstock vault. Many are limited and we indicated how many units can be tailored - which means that we may need to cancel pre-orders that were placed after we reached that max number

Suit Separates in Char-Navy sharkskin worsted wool
"Fox may be world-renowned for its flannels and jacketing, but their worsted wools are truly second to none. The heft, weave and beautiful desaturated navy color makes this a true staple suit. The London Shrunk finish makes it a suit you'll be wearing often with little maintenance."---Greg

"The worsted cloth was popular in the 1930s, Fox Brothers have re-developed this to become the sleek quality that we see today. This is achieved with the famous London Shrunk finish: the folding of cloth with moist heat, the drying of the cloth in precise conditions, and an even steam of the cloth all determine the excellence of this finish. The fabric is unstrained throughout finishing and forms well with a permanence that will not be altered during the tailoring process and steam pressing."---Fox Brothers

Suit Separates in Feather Blue-Grey Melange worsted flannel

"Sometimes, in life, we learn things from people in position of authority, and we realize later that it was all hogwash. One of the dumbest things I ever learned on menswear forums was that flannel shall always be woolen and that worsted flannel was useless. Once I got my first Fox worsted flannel suit and started wearing it all the time, I unlearned that and realized how good this fabric is. Less stuffy and hot-wearing as a heavy woolen, but with a matt finish that cannot be found in classic worsteds, it became my goldilocks fabric for fall winter suits. Especially for suits that are less conservative. TLDR: worsted flannel is actually great; try it."---Greg

"Our Worsted Flannel are woven with yarns spun from long combed wool fibres, which produce smooth flannels. Plain fabric with an abundance of texture & depth. Can be worn as a full suit or perfectly broken into separate garments. It is an easy pairing for any formal or casual outfit."---Fox Brothers

Sport coat in Almond, Tawny Brown & Azure gun club wool

"I would argue that gun club sport coats are more fundamental to a man's closet than even navy blazers (fight me if you dare to disagree!). But there are good gun clubs and a lot of mid ones, let's be honest. This limited edition cloth is one of the GOOD ones. The mix of cool and warm color yarns makes it nearly impossible to style badly."---Greg

"Designed for understated dressing, with British heritage in its ‘roots’. This quintessential cloth can be perfectly worn in every setting, whether that’s at home, in the city or even around the country. Fox Sports Jacketing is expertly crafted to ‘keep in’ with new traditions of relaxed elegance, to create both a timeless and ageless ‘classic’."---Fox Brothers

Sport coat in Brown tonal glenplaid lambswool flannel

"Low-contrast glenplaid fabrics are a top choice for versatility and personality. The use of only two dominant colors without overcheck makes it chic and easy to wear as an everyday jacket or for events. The mixed yarns in this heavy flannel gives it a beautiful complex finish"---Greg

"Flannel jacketing quality has the visual and depth of a true tweed but with the handle of our subtle flannel quality. Using solid and mélange yarns. Notes of browns and greens would make it an easy pairing jacket."---Fox Brothers

Sport coat in Old Silver, Naval Blue & Copper gun club wool

"I would argue that gun club sport coats are more fundamental to a man's closet than even navy blazers (fight me if you dare to disagree!). But there are good gun clubs and a lot of mid ones, let's be honest. This limited edition cloth is one of the GOOD ones. The mix of cool and warm color yarns makes it nearly impossible to style badly."---Greg

"This heavier mid weight jacketing cloth woven with wool, provides a delicate and dry hand feel, making an exceptional choice for a sports coat."---Fox Brothers

View attachment 2242885 View attachment 2242887

Sport coat in Walnut & Olive basketweave merino wool

"I'm a sucker for beautiful in between colors AND for basketweave hopsack textures. This limited edition fabric has both so it was a no brainer. The color between green and brown will look perfect styled across the formality spectrum."---Greg

"Using a slightly thicker yarn for a more visible mock-leno basketweave, gives depth and texture. The weave structure is such that it is open and breathable, which makes it a great choice in these warmer months with incredible crease recovery."---Fox Brothers

Chore jacket in deadstock Cream Brown and Green glenplaid wool flannel
"Always looking for ways to blend exceptional fabrics and tailoring expertise into garments beyond classic sport coats and suits, we really do enjoy seeing chore coats made up in luscious jacketing fabrics. This Fox flannel one lends itself particularly well to pairing with washed jeans and an oxford shirt or white tee. Casual does not have to be without luxe."---Greg

Field jacket in deadstock Chocolate brown high-twist wool

"A lighter weight option for those in warmer locales or who prefer layering, this field jacket is cut of an uber-chic deep brown high-twist wool fabric. Pair it with pleated slacks and a sweater for a chic look, or just as easy with jeans."---Greg

We're complementing the Fox capsule with casentino wool outerwear

Balmacaan belted coat in Rust Casentino wool
"We've always loved Casentino wool, that ancestral rustic Tuscan wool used to make hunting jackets and casual coats. So we asked Sartoria Carrara to help us source the material and turn it into three great styles. This one is the raglan coat in a beautiful shade of rusty brown - an easy companion throughout the winter. I like it oversized personally, but sizing is up to you !"---Greg

Let’s see how things shake out with this round re: exchanges and returns etc… and if there’s demand, I believe they can make more for delivery later in the season. We could then organize a preorder of sorts to make sure we restock the right colors/sizes

I demand another Fawn Honeycomb in L (maybe...I shouldn't have slept on it?)

Couple of sneak product releases that were added between drops, that I thought I'd highlight so you guys can nab your size while you can:

The olive green version of the Ikiji navy ribbed jacket that sold out so quickly

The Ascot 4-ply navy suit (from our spring summer tailoring capsule, but was delayed because of cloth availability)

Preview time! This week sees some more Portuguese Flannel, along with full deliveries from Inis Meain, Kardo, and Fujito, which I'll start with.

Group_FW24_Fujito.jpg

Fujito FW24 - 5.jpg Fujito FW24 - 4.jpg

Fujito_Made_in_Japan_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Cowboy_jacket_in_dark_brown_corduroy (2).jpg
First up we've got a new trucker style that they're calling a Cowboy jacket, in a super rich coffee colored 14 wale corduroy that we'll see a few more times in this drop. I especially love the custom donut buttons on this one.

Fujito FW24 - 3.jpg

And for the set-up we have the matching cowboy pants aka five pockets, along with the addition of a grey colorway too that got used in the lookbook a lot. Slightly slouchy fit really suits the softness of the fabric.

Fujito FW24 - 2.jpg Fujito_Made_in_Japan_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Side_stripe_easy_pants_in_olive_green (9).jpg

Signature side-seam easy pants return. Great fit, and I love the integrated seam pockets as well.

Fujito_Made_in_Japan_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Rollneck_knit_t-shirt_in_grey_cotton (7).jpg

In the same lookbook shot is their knit tee, turtleneck form. We've had these before and it goes without saying that they're a super easy layer but have enough texture and detail to look good on their own.

Fujito_Made_in_Japan_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Long_sleeve_knit_t-shirt_in_jade_green_cotton (3).jpg Fujito_Made_in_Japan_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Long_sleeve_knit_t-shirt_in_midnight_blue_cotton (9).jpg

We also grabbed two colors of the crewneck version, which are sure to go fast too.

Fujito_Made_in_Japan_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Fatigue_shirt_in_navy_blue_ripstop (6).jpg Fujito_Made_in_Japan_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Fatigue_shirt_in_olive_green_ripstop (8).jpg

the jungle-jacket inspired fatigue shirt returns, in all of its roomy glory. Made up in a ripstop it definitely keeps with the military theme, but in the hands of Fujito it's really placed in this skateboarding context which checks out given the material and fit.

Fujito_Made_in_Japan_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Open_collar_shirt_in_pale_blue_striped_cotton (8).jpg Fujito_Made_in_Japan_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Open_collar_shirt_in_washed_black_cotton_and_linen_...jpg

Two open collar shirts as well - a pale blue cotton with some fine stripes, and a cotton and linen chambray that you can also see layered with the corduroy set-up above.

Fujito_Made_in_Japan_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Baseball_cap_in_charcoal_grey_corduroy (1).jpg

Lastly, one final corduroy piece in their signature baseball cap. These are some of the nicest constructed hats we come across, as anyone that has picked up a Fujito hat in the past can attest to.

Group_FW24_Kardo3.jpg

It seems that every season Kardo gets better and better, and this latest is for sure the strongest yet. It's all here - the hand spun yarns, hand loomed fabrics, hand embroidered pieces, organic cotton, and special dyes - but it never feels folksy or generic hippie.

Kardo-AW-2024-collection-13.jpg

Kardo_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Bodhi_quilted_jacket_in_hand_spun_hand_woven_and_hand_embroidered_...jpg Kardo_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Bodhi_quilted_jacket_in_hand_spun_hand_woven_and_hand_embroidered_...jpg

Kicking things off is this new quilted jacket style, in indigo dyed handloomed organic cotton, which has then been hand-embroidered on a chainstitching machine by one man (all of the jackets are embroidered by the same man). Keeping it all so tonal really works with the quilted nature of it though, and the result is just pretty

Kardo_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Marvin_trucker_jacket_in_black_and_white_diamond_jacquard (6).jpg Kardo_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Marvin_trucker_jacket_in_black_and_white_diamond_jacquard (8).jpg

The other jacket is a Type 2 trucker style, but done in this amazing diamond jacquard. Please, please check out all of the close-up photos on this one!

Moving onto shirts, again we have some hand spun and handwoven khadi cotton, then individually chain-stitch embroidered by one man again using a technique called Ari. The human touch makes this kind of large scale design so special IMO

Kardo-AW-2024-collection-28.jpg

Kardo_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Luis_shirt_in_midnight_plum_handloomed_cotton_with_discontinuous_w...jpg Kardo_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Luis_shirt_in_midnight_plum_handloomed_cotton_with_discontinuous_w...jpg

This is the same basic design of shirt, but with a much different production technique - the fabric is handloomed, but using something called "discontinuous weft" extra motifs are added to the fabric by adding a denser thread to the warp by hand. It's a unique geometric design that adds to the craft and personality of the fabric.

Kardo_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Luis_shirt_in_white_and_yarn-dyed_indigo_blue_handloomed_cotton (6).jpg Kardo_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Luis_shirt_in_white_and_yarn-dyed_indigo_blue_handloomed_cotton (8).jpg

Our last version of this style of long sleeve shirt was made using a hand-loomed fabric that contrasts two types of hand-dyed yarns. From a distance you might think it's a herringbone but up close you can see the alternating microdiamond and squiggle designs.

Kardo_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Bhola_shirt_with_oversized_gusseted_pockets_in_burnt_sienna_herrin...jpg Kardo_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Bhola_shirt_with_oversized_gusseted_pockets_in_navy_blue_herringbo...jpg

Speaking of herringbone, we picked up two colors of this really cool gusseted pocket shirt. Tons of personality in those!

Kardo_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Vikram_easy_pants_in_navy_blue_herringbone_cotton (2).jpg

That fabric also really suited some easy pants, so we went for the navy there.

Kardo_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Quilted_cap_in_indigo_blue_handloomed_cotton_with_discontinuous_we...jpg Kardo_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Quilted_cap_in_midnight_plum_handloomed_cotton_with_discontinuous_...jpg

Lastly a few accessories - quilted caps in that same "discontinuous weft" hand loomed fabric,

Kardo_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Quilted_scarf_in_black_light_blue_and_red_hand_block_printed_cotto...jpg Kardo_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Quilted_scarf_in_red_and_brown_stripe_hand_block_printed_cotton_co...jpg

And two hand block printed scarves in microcorduroy (!!)

Group_FW24_Inis_Meain (1).jpg

soooooo pretty.

Inis_Meain_Made_in_Ireland_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Long_sleeve_saddle_shoulder_polo_in_Navy_blue...jpg Inis_Meain_Made_in_Ireland_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Long_sleeve_saddle_shoulder_polo_in_Rust_Marl...jpg

Our exclusive saddle shoulder polo returns in two new colors of the legendary alpaca/silk fabric, both of them with some nice variance in the yarns. I have the pale blue one from last season and I think it's really underrated - the slinkiness of the fabric means I wear it in a super casual way, and in that sense it goes well with a lot of the Japanese brands we stock more than say the Italian ones - think Kaptain Sunshine, or Fujito above.

Inis_Meain_Made_in_Ireland_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Mixed_beige_and_grey_Oatmeal_alpaca_silk_roll...jpg

In the same yarn mix we of course have a tunic, this time in a mixed oatmeal beige and grey.

Inis_Meain_Made_in_Ireland_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Classic_crewneck_in_Khaki_green_alpaca_silk_w...jpg

But we also ran a crewneck in this lovely khaki green for those that want a more standard collar. The plating on the collar works well with this yarn color, so it makes for a good crewneck compared to a lot of others.

Inis_Meain_Made_in_Ireland_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Ceo_beige_alpaca_ribbed_mockneck_(restock) (7).jpg

Had to restock the Ceo baby alpaca ribbed mockneck, which is just too soft for its own good (is there such a thing?)

Inis_Meain_Made_in_Ireland_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Classic_crewneck_sweater_in_Coffee_brown_done...jpg Inis_Meain_Made_in_Ireland_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Classic_crewneck_sweater_in_Prussia_blue_done...jpg

Wool and cashmere donegal returns in two crewnecks (alongside some watch caps  )

Inis_Meain_Made_in_Ireland_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Seafoam_stitch_gansey_sweater_in_brown_alpaca...jpg Inis_Meain_Made_in_Ireland_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Seafoam_stitch_gansey_sweater_in_Charcoal_gre...jpg

It feels like it's been a long time since we've run a Gansey, and this seafoam stitch version makes for a particularly attractive one.

Inis_Meain_Made_in_Ireland_Fall_Winter_2024_FW24_Claochai_stone_wall_crewneck_in_ecru_and_beig...jpg

Lastly, a new variation of the cloachai with a more balanced repeat, still in that lovely wool and cashmere donegal though.
