Interesting questions - almost sounds like you think users would want to join in on comment activity itself, not necessarily on products they are looking at.

not necessarily though people are drawn to what's popular (or just basic comment rubbernecking) so it could be an added benefit. I was more thinking that Slack and SF are linear so if there are 25 comments on slack or 3 pages of discussion here on valstar vests, everyone is by default exposed to it unless they purposefully skip over it. that wouldn't happen or be noticed on the website unless someone specifically looks into that product. if the overall intent is to move the discussions that happen here and on slack to the website, highlighting "hot topics" might be helpful. maybe it's an email once a week to point out the most discussed products if not having a comment count or something like that.

- would you ever consider adding a "newest comments" or "most commented" feed on the Community tab so people could browse conversations (kinda like here) on products?
Best we can do without doing some real development work, digging into the API, etc... would be to feed all latest comments on a page like this:
