Funny, my gf was just ranting about this to me the other day. She wishes De Bonne Facture had a women's line

the Spring / Summer collection had womenswear pieces. A lot of their pieces are also unisex as Deborah wears her own stuff and if you see the current Fall Winter lookbook a lot of the pieces work for women.

Yep, my wife hates the flimsiness and excess of options of most womenswear, and also won’t spend money on expensive clothes, even though she likes nice things. As a result, she dresses mostly in my two-season old stuff from NMWA and other places - kind of like a younger brother who wears exclusively hand-me-downs. Everything’s oversized on her, but she’s made that look work great for her out of necessity. Honestly, I occasionally begrudge how much better she looks than me in my old clothes.

My wife gets upset that there are multiple brands of menswear that focus on durability, quality, and timeless design whereas women's fashion seems geared mainly toward transient seasonal wear.

On a related note, she loves wearing her XS S&C cardigan and Lesca shades and her Schneider scarves.

I actually really enjoy seeing my wife (or her mom) in the stuff they nabbed from me (or got from the store for themselves): scarves for sure, but also Sublime hats, and even sweatshirts and sweater (oversized look).

Girlfriend didn't have any good warm sweaters, tucked her into one of my Inis Meain Alpaca/Silks, she looks super cute and I feel all warm and fuzzy taking care of her. Plus if she shrinks it in the wash I have an excuse to buy more sweaters.

not to derail the above, but for the buttero floyds....is it right that if i am a snug 41 in CPs/Meermin, I should go with a sz 40 or 40.5?

CPs also fit big so typically a 41 in CP is a 42 in everything else. We’d recommend the same size in Buttero and CP

@MeatFish we seem to be the same size in most outerwear.
Do you wear a 54 Valstarino? Do you know what size you'd take in the NR Bumfreezer?
Hey, phone died in office so didn’t get a chance to try out the bumfeeezer, but I’d take 54 in the Valstarino for a slimmer fit that you’d usually see worn with tailoring, or a 56 to get a more casual fit.
Will let you know on the bumfeeezer come Monday.

Is the Buttero sneaker 43 comparable to a 10.5 in new balance?
I’d say that’s about right. I’m in between 10.5/11 in most sneakers and I can fit a 43, but it’s a bit too close on the toes for me. A true 10.5 would prob be perfect in a 43.
