The one thing I’ll say about my Thuyas is they are exceedingly sturdy. Probably top three most worn shoes for the past 5 years, and they show zero signs of deteriorating. I think they will outlive me.
Same. I feel like I’m wearing them 50% of the time I spend in a vertical position

My Thuyas were my go-to shoe for F/W. They go with everything and are appropriate for all kinds of weather. The lighter-colored ones patinate like crazy.

I own the thuyas and the lemaire collab of the paraboot michaels. I prefer the thuyas - feel sturdier and nicer shape IMO.

Welp y’all sold me I’m getting some Thuyas today
I ordered some as well. Just hope they fit. Have to say the sizing advice on these is all over the place. The discussion between Kyle and Kenshawn about sizing during the IG drop yesterday just about had me doing multivariate calculus (and smiling about the imprecision of these things).

A sizing comparison would be great!
I'm a 10.5D brannock, low instep. I have thuyas in 9 and Michaels in 44, length-wise they are almost identical, with maybe an extra millimeter on the Michaels. I would say that I have all the other traditional hallmarks for sizing - 10D van/barrie, 10.5 Aberdeen, 11 or 11.5 in sneakers.

Volume-wise, thuyas are gigantic (but that's cuz I have flat feet too probly). Thuya lacing basically overlaps on me, while Michaels have about a centimeter gap in between the two.

Leather is definitely a lot better and heftier on the thuyas. Paraboot aren't bad, but like, heschung is on a different level. Construction is def better on the thuyas, but it's not as massive of a gap as leather quality. For me, the paraboot sole is better for city walking, while the thuyas have taken me through some wild winters without a problem.

Styling, thuyas are definitely a beefy country shoe, Michaels are available in hair-on and mismatched styles which are dope, so that's on you.
