The shoulders and armholes of that jacket are quite "tailored" in my experience. Like a suit jacket with high armholes, it feels a little weird and snug first, but it provides good movement once you get used to it.

After wearing the griz a few times, I’ve gotten over my sizing concerns. Still just a tad tight in the shoulders, but I think it may loosen up a bit more and in any event I don’t think a size up would work.

Size looks perfect to me. I bet it will break in.

Just received the Doppiaa western shirt. I went a size up (39 from my regular 38), and while I'm going to keep it, I think I coulld have gone TTS. Its *almost* too long for me to be worn untucked. I'm shorter (5 foot 7), but if anyone is considering this piece and is similarly short I'd consider going tts.

Ah, I'm also a 38 who got a 39 (but I'm taller, at 6'1") and going down a size would have made the shoulders too narrow and the sleeves too short. Even on me, it's definitely a little too long to look good untucked. The weight is also lighter than I expected, so it feels weird to wear it as an overshirt.

I'm just going tuck in… but I tuck in everything anyway, even t-shirts 😳

I'm really liking this new G. Inglese Giubbottino jacket.

I didn't think a shirt jacket would be something I'd want to wear but I love how it works w/ both dress shirts and t-shirts without calling too much attention to itself. A jacket like a G9 works for me in this way too but it feels too affected to wear an "outdoor" jacket inside. I could wear this in a business casual office and not get asked why I'm "dressed up." :)

Jacket is size (S), Rota brown cotton (size 48), GI Oxford size 38 and Merz T is a (M).

BF bounties worn together- giubottino shacket, doppia sweater, begg scarf. Likely going to return the shacket because the sleeves are too long for me.
Getting the sleeves shortened is one of the easiest (and cheapest) alterations to get done. If you like the shacket otherwise, worth thinking about.

Well said - I find shirt jackets (or sometimes shirts worn as jackets...) to be incredibly easy to wear daily.

The Giubbottino is a good design to do that without the military vibe of a field/jungle jacket or the more pronounced design of a safari jacket style

What size would I take in Giubbi-thing if I'm a 40 in GI shirts (though they are trim and a 41 might work better if the sleeves were shorter)
