• CALLING ON HOME SEWERS TO HELP HEALTHCARE WORKERS FIGHTING COVID-19

The lack of proper masks, gowns, and eyewear equipment is making it difficult for health workers to do their work fighting the novel coronavirus. In a recent New York Times article, medical workers said they were worried about how they can both fight the coronavirus without imperiling themselves, as well as their loved ones when they go back home.

If you are a home sewer, please consider helping my joining Hickey Freman Technical Vice President Jeffery Diduch in his effort to produce and deliver homemade gowns and masks to medical professionals in the greater Rochester, New York Area. Read about how you can help here

BY POPULAR DEMAND, we're running a pre-order for the fall/winter 2020 Traveler Coat from Kaptain Sunshine in all four fabrics that they're offering. The Traveler Coat has been a customer and staff favorite for a few years now, as it's a unique take on the Balmacaan or raglan overcoat shape specifically because the oversized silhouette combines with the relatively stiff and sturdy (though soft to the touch) wools that they use to give it a very sculptural shape that drapes in a unique way unlike any other coats we've seen.

For sizing, I recommend true to size although if you don't need the sleeve length a lot of people can comfortable go down one. This will be an oversized silhouette no matter what, so keep that in mind when looking at the measurements.

As always, we're doing 50% now with 50% due upon delivery in October, and be sure to use code PREORDER15 for your pre-order discount. We're keeping these open until the end of the week.

The first options are two solids: Smokey Green and Navy Blue

The other two options are a British wool and comes in grey Glenplaid or brown Glenplaid.

Also a friendly reminder that I've got to close these Traveler Coat pre-orders tonight, so this is the time to grab one if you want to lock down a particular color and size.

I thought I was early buying it a few hours after it dropped but I guess I have to be quicker next time
Not as nice to order from, of course, but there's still a single medium available here.
Thanks for looking out! I definitely would rather support NMWA, but I really want the polo lol.

The other colors and the entire collection for that matter are nice too though

Glad to see all of the enthusiasm for Camoshita! It's a really fun collection this season, and as you have all noticed the colors are spot-on. I personally grabbed the seafoam polo and pink tee, but I keep going back to that striped shacket I wore in the livestream..
I've seen a lot of collections from Camoshita, and this is the first of its kind as far as I've seen. Really like what Camoshita did with colors this this (I feel like the colors are usually darker - i.e., camel instead of beige). I really like the dusty pastels.

Large will be big enough - no need to size up to XL
Sorry if my comment on the feel of the fabric was a bit silly. I am curious as to how it feels. Like thick cotton or does the cupro give a slightly smooth texture? Not a blend I'm familiar with.

Yeah, apart from having the white in common, NMWA's palette for the polos is far superior to other selections I've seen thus far this season. Which is typical of NMWA, it seems, and why it's best to start there. But, if you can't get it there any longer, then it's ok to go elsewhere, I think.

You aren’t kidding. Mr. P’s collection is so season-ambiguous. Tons of grays and whites. Don’t really get it.

I couldn't agree more. NMWA is definitely ahead of the game when it comes to color selection. I'm really feeling the pink since it's the perfect shade, but it's just not a color I wear that often if ever.

Are the terry tees super thick or heavy?
They look beautiful but wondering if they are heavy. I’d love to rock these in the summer but me and the NY humidity aren’t friends.

But if you are feeling it you should get it. You can “pull it off.”

If I can wear in Louisiana (and last summer, Florida), you can tough it out in NYC bro.

:)
