I'm wearing my JG Raf shearling today. It's 60... if I don't start wearing it now I'll never get to.

Thanks. Already on my wishlist. Do I wait until kitchen remodel is finished or just lump it into the rest of the budget overrun?
While the kitchen is being remodeled, you'll have to have more dinners outside, and you don't want to be seen repeatedly in the same jackets at those restaurants, so that increases your need for a new jacket. It seems logical to me?

Alright, y'all ready for a crazy question? I've got store credit and points and a discount collectively burning a hole in the pocket of my Rota cords, and I want to get something a little off-kilter. What say the masses! Just like the Highlander, there can ONLY BE ONE:

Option 1: Easily, the most pragmatic of the three. Something I will throw over a suit on the way to work, or wear on the weekends with a sweater like @lefty. The big buttons make me smile. The downside? I've got a lot of long coats.

Option 2: I mean, this thing is just bonkers and I love Kaptain Sunshine. I'll get some wear out of it when I hit the slopes next year (~15-20 days total). But maybe it is too much.

Option 3: This thing has been tempting me for a solid two months. It is wild, and doesn't really fit with the majority of my wardrobe, but it is just so bonkers and awesome that I want it. Plus, I like supporting new brands. I can see myself grabbing this when I don't want to wear something more dressy like a field jacket (I really do not have anything below a field jacket in terms of formality, and frequently grab a puffer coat / rain jacket when I'm feeling lazy).

Option 4: ???

@steveoffice - seems like a no-brainer to me. Biggest impediment with that jacket is the sleeves, which seem to work just fine on you.

Also, a quick "wear report" - Blurhms mock neck is officially most worn item of the year. I grab it and wear it with just about everything. Correspondingly, the Document padded jacket is also fantastic. The perfect shade of green, and such an easy jacket to grab.

Sorry but wearing a $1700 designer coat for just hitting the slopes is ridiculous.
Yes if you live somewhere with crazy long and harsh winters.
Otherwise, for skiing only, I'd get some Patagonia or North Face.

Sorry but wearing a $1700 designer leather jacket for just walking to the office from your car is just ridiculous.
Yes if you signed up to serve your country (and the Honor of Men In General) to fight fascism in 1940s England.
Otherwise, for general being alive, I'd just get some Uniqlo.
