I stuck it out with my regular size, they were a bit of an adjustment but I think they're great. Just don't expect them to feel like a loafer substitute, definitely their own beast.
It's the heel slip, but maybe I'm just not used to how they're supposed to fit

Also if Newc wears Alden sz 10 and got the same size as me, not a good sign.

FWIW, In Alden, I wear a 9 in Barrie, True Balance and 9.5 in Hampton, Plaza.
I have Castaner Pablo (traditional espadrille) and Nacho (espaloaf) both in 43. The Pablo heel slips but seem to be the right length. I might be able to size down but I'm used to it now. The Nacho fits perfect. No slip at all. They're going to be all I wear this summer.

@g transistor / TONY shirt came today. He’s right and it’s almost like a drab olive. I messed around with a bunch of ways to wear it. Still gotta think about it but it’s a really great shirt.

Warning: shirty mirror pics ahead

With shorts. The washed blue I think works well, would appreciate thoughts on the green.

With jeans. Both I think are alright. The blue jeans feels very “the Self Edge look” and I dig it with the black jeans and side zips.

Not huge on the green shorts, only because of the patterning on the shorts is a bit busy for another pattern on top. The print on the Tony shirt is really spaced out and has a lot of negative space so it clashes a little. If it as a solid green or looser pattern it’d work very well imo.

With the washed blue shorts looks fantastic.

The black pants with side zips looks awesome and is my fave fit of all of em. The blue jeans would look nice but I think the sneakers throw it off—I think boots would look nice there, too. But generally I don’t wear sneakers unless it’s with shorts, so that’s just personal preference.

I think it looks great on ya!

Really appreciate the thoughts. The more I look at the green shorts the more what you said makes sense. It was mostly to try out the staples in my closet and see what works and what doesn’t.

I really dig the shirt though, kudos on an awesome design.

I liked it better with the green shorts. Like the pattern clash

Were there meant to be instructions on how to properly roll a Sublime paper/raffia hat? Nothing is safe in a house wit a two year old and a five year old.
I roll mine just tight enough to fit back in the little cardboard tube if it's going in luggage or traveling. I'm careful to make sure there are no hard creases.

There's not a right or wrong way to do it, but it's a rollable hat. Just ... roll it. It will be fine.

Photo by @UrbanComposition on a hawt day in Florence. It was the perfect second layer to walk around all day and be totally comfortable

Weirdly enough, we still have some left 🤷‍♂️
