Moo the kind of guy to walk up to an unmarked door and ask if y’all got Biberg so that he can try them on to learn his shoe size and then order them elsewhere while also asking for a return on final sale items and still somehow has very little positive to add to an online community despite continuously visiting it over the past few years and acting like a petulant toddler yet doesn’t realize that if he were just nice to other people he’d make more friends

hey now, that's uncalled for. mr. moo has a friend. his name is sinnedk.

I'll admit, it isn't my best fit by any margin - kind of trying to figure this out as I go along. So I appreciate the feedback.

Also, for what it is worth, kind of based this fit on the lookbook fit - but I probably got the proportions wrong?

Does calling something bad with no reasoning qualify as feedback? Its just mean spirited.

I think it looks fine but jackets paired with shorts are always a bit weird to me. The only thing is the color of your shorts—in the LB photo it’s morestyled as military/outdoorsy. Your fit is more just like..casual guy, but the lookbook fit has a specific feeling. Combat boots, thick olive socks, beret, etc.

I think LBs are more useful to see how pieces are styled in terms of the “feeling” of the overall garment rather than pulling specific looks— using your photo as an example, the pieces are there (tee, shorts, jacket) but the feeling isn’t, if that makes sense.

That makes complete sense to me. I appreciate your input - often, the sum of all parts is more important than the individual elements.

@Newcomer you don't have to engage seriously with moo critiques

I am thick skinned, plus, I can take some tough love.

I’d like to see the same look with something like the Niche Reconstructed shorts from last year.

Funny enough, these shorts are a bit edgier than they look from the picture - they are a lot "blousier." They really remind me of the Fujito shorts (the white ones).

You think he looks dope here?

Newc’s Sartorial journey over the last few years has been fun to observe, and more often than not he looks good. This was not a good look, so I mentioned it. What’s the issue?

I'll take that as a compliment.

Ultimately, I am pretty confident in a lot of my outfits - and I typically know what is, and what is not, a success. In the tailored realm, I can put an outfit together pretty easily. In the casual realm, I don't deviate too frequently from what I know will work. This fit isn't winning any awards, but I was A-OK with wearing it to whole foods last night to pick up some toothfish.

Wearing a checkered sportjacket can be considered too formal where I'm at. So there is no definite rule on what to follow anyway.

Hmm, if it were just that, then perhaps no issue. Let's revisit your actual words:

"I know that this is a circlejerk thread, and that you got 9+ thumbs, but this is a bad look."

So let's see, you begin your post by insulting the entire thread. If the objective here is to turn people against you, check box 1. Then you make an outright dismissal without offering either critical reasoning or constructive alternatives. So maybe that's the issue(s). On the plus side there's probably a job in the Trump administration tailor made for you.
