These are about a half size too big for me, and while I can make them work with thick socks, I live in Austin and we don't have much thick sock and boot weather. I tend to reach for shell when I grab my black boots, too, so these aren't getting used. Recently resoled.

These are quite similar to another pair I own, so I don't use these enough. The sizing appears to have rubbed off, but they fit me pretty well (I wear a 9-9.5 US).
I believe these retailed for $300+, and they have years of life left in them.

I'm in the process of shopping around for my first pair of black calfskin cap-toe Oxfords, and I've narrowed it down to this selection. I'd love to hear from your collective wisdom as to what shoes I should eliminate from the running, if any:
I have a beautiful pair of Cheaney chukka boots for sale in tan. It is a 9.5d but fits more like a 10d. The shoes were cleaned and conditioned. It is used and hence has some creases. The rear boot straps were cut off as you can see from the pics. The shoe is sold as is without the shoe trees...

I purchased these in 2012 from Herring Shoes.
They are just a bit too small for me. I've also just listed a pair of Saint Crispin's that are a bit too big for me.
