I have found alot of stuff lately, which i hope to take pics of. Here are ties that were found by chance at a thrift store which I didnt know existed for $1.99. The pleated Baroni has to now be the nicest tie in my collection.

I'm not sure what that would accomplish. You'd have the backside of the monogram and in reverse.

Tie Rack Tie, $2
Rafael Vierri Tie [which I can find no mention of on SF or the wider web, but was Italian made, nice and slim, with a good pattern], $2
Zegna at Barneys, Blue 2-button Blazer, $12
Brooks Brothers 346, Grey Blazer, $4

EDIT: this is my first thrifting, by the way. Any tips/criticisms would be appreciated.

Coming from someone who recently acquired a pair. They have absolutely zero traction - it appears I tend to try and dig in with the corner of the heel at the end of my stride, and these slip straight out from under me when the ground surface has any semblance of polish (wooden floors, marble floors etc).

Vintage cool maybe, but I can absolutely understand why they were replaced with rubber heel corners. Heck, in my experience sliding about a foot in an uncontrolled fashion wears down the shoe more than a softer rubber would do under normal conditions.

Well, it must be something in the water locally... nothing like the NWT Zegna tie (well okay maybe a little) but I'm happy enough I suppose for a one-store stop though not spectacular: 3/2 patch pocket blue-rectangle label BB blazer, size 36 - smallest I've ever seen and with a different button design The first Geoffrey Beene item I've ever actually picked up - was this a good idea or a bad one? Says it's "Signature Collection" but what sold me was this: it's 100% Loro Piana cashmere, navy, 2-button single-vent. I have a feeling what the answer is going to be, but what the heck. NWT Bullock & Jones Made in Italy rust-colored cotton cords in my size, which is rare enough to be cause for celebration - Velluto Duca Visconti Di Modrone label, not sure if that's the fabric or the maker. Still has the heel tape in the back pocket. I'd really love to hear how the heck they ended up here from SF still unworn & unhemmed... I bet there's a good story there.

Edit: Oh, and yesterday I had one substantially more awesome find, new in box fully working:

Ambushed the kids with it.

bullock and jones did a lot of mail order business. probably just didn't fit and never got returned, I see a lot of their store brand stuff kicking around and it's always been good to very nice quality. I'm assuming you didn't pay much for that beene jacket, worst comes to worse you can sell it for 50 bucks on ebay... anything in good shape made from LP cashmere will sell for a few bucks

Anyone know about ""Country Britches" brand? I found articles on newer stuff, but have found some items that are hand sewn and are from the local high end men's store.

On the way out of the thrift store today, empty-handed again, I happened to notice two ties in the display case under some other stuff. Turns out one was a thick recent Burberry in an ugly pattern and the other was from Bachrach but evidently got the display case treatment because the price tag was still on it. Both ugly ties had the same price on them: $20.

interesting... so that's why I see B&J stuff pretty regularly. and yes, it tends to be pretty decent. these cords compare pretty well with the zegnas and zanellas I have already, to say nothing of the bb made-in-usas. Definitely keeping these for myself.

the beene jacket, thanks for the feedback - that's ultimately why I grabbed it, because I figured someone would want an LP cashmere jacket in good shape even if there were NO other tags on it, so a GB tag can't hurt it that much. pricing it will be interesting since I can't find any other GB 100% cashmere precedents.
