I have found alot of stuff lately, which i hope to take pics of. Here are ties that were found by chance at a thrift store which I didnt know existed for $1.99. The pleated Baroni has to now be the nicest tie in my collection.
Usually I accept disappointment rather well, but today I'm upset. I found a very nice Oxxford charcoal pinstripe that looked great on the rack, only to pick it up and find the lining TOTALLY shredded. The man must have carried wolverines around under his jacket. Next, three gorgeous, and recent, Brioni shirts. I had them at the checkout when I discovered they all had monograms on the french cuffs. Back they went.
Why not have the cuffs reversed?
"Suicide heel"? Is that the v-cleat? What is the deal with that thing and why does it have such a dangerous reputation?
Funny, I passed on a pair exactly like that last week (too small), same size, price and chain of stores. I see you're from Canada. Not southwestern Ontario by chance?
Well, it must be something in the water locally... nothing like the NWT Zegna tie (well okay maybe a little) but I'm happy enough I suppose for a one-store stop though not spectacular:
London
bullock and jones did a lot of mail order business. probably just didn't fit and never got returned, I see a lot of their store brand stuff kicking around and it's always been good to very nice quality. I'm assuming you didn't pay much for that beene jacket, worst comes to worse you can sell it for 50 bucks on ebay... anything in good shape made from LP cashmere will sell for a few bucks
interesting... so that's why I see B&J stuff pretty regularly. and yes, it tends to be pretty decent.
