How to order as of 10/23/2014: We're currently waiting for size grading to finish up. This is taking a tad longer than expected because Vanson is doing a ton of design work right now, including a lot of new work for COMME des GARCONS. StyleForum.net members are currently getting in line, through a deposit of $699.99 USD, to receive fit jackets for their custom builds. Call Thurston Bros. at (206) 550-3545 and we'll figure out what size fit jacket will work best for you. We'll need your height, weight, and chest measurement. Please order ASAP...some sizes are already 2-3 fittings reserved.

Liner options: Black Rayon, Black Nylon Quilted, Red Rayon, Red Nylon Quilted, Red Japanese Floral (photo below), Blue Japanese Floral (photo below), Green Japanese Floral (photo below)

Hardware options: Brass, Nickel, and Black

Design options: Please talk individually to Thurston Bros. Design items have reasonable prices, but they will be priced individually (everyone wants something different)

so long as the sleeve lining is rayon the jkt will go on just fine.

Yeah that's an acceptable compromise. Those junya jackets are fully lined in cotton though.

I think that we have to agree on the leather but I am not sure.

I'll let @Thurston Bros take over here, give options, pricing, level of customization possible between jackets, etc...

We like that word--Inspiration!

We've been in contact with Vanson and we can do this such that we have a very nice, Vanson-made Style Forum jacket model! I don't think it's in anyone's best interest to directly copy something that has already been put into production...for Style Forum members who might want different color options, Vanson has over 40 on hand! Any and all ideas are welcome, but keep in mind that "design-by-committee" can be tough...

We need approximately 12-15 orders to move forward with the style...a prototype in a decided-upon Style Forum members' size first needs to be made (this member should have a good camera and be a photogenic type... @LA Guy might be up to the task!).

We can really do anything we'd like with fit and style, as long as the order numbers are there!

It would be fun to do a cafe' racer too!

Add an extra zipper on the same arm parallel to the existing one?

I think the black chrome tanned horsehide, with tartan body and rayon sleeve lining would be good

I'd like to know too because I really do have too much black leathers already.

Can it be 12-15 orders of the SF-designed jacket but each customer can choose the type of leather and color?

I'm in, very curious to hear about the leather/color options.

Absolutely...in black, we would have a lot of Chrome-tanned options (different weights) as well as a veg.-tanned option (if Style Forum members want this...)... Also, Vanson has a ton of color choices! Just keep in mind that each time a member chooses a color that's different from the base model, it's a $50.00 up-charge (this is actually crazy reasonable!)...

Yes, each member could choose a different leather and color...however, most people do like black with Vanson...

Here are some photos of some Comet PLU-2s we did in different blues a while back...vibrant!

Any color imaginable...Vanson has it... However, stay away from gold!

For a stock leather, what would the base price be, approximately?

Damn very tempting if we can all choose what leather we want

I'm the opposite. I only own one black leather right now. I figure the that for a second, the double rider is probably the way to go. Channel my internal Ramone.

Where could I get info of the leathers Vanson uses?
