so is that old navy blazer cut similar to the current contemporary? looking for a jacket before you will get the new line in and the current contemp is a great fit for me

No, it's an older cut. The slim is much slimmer than the contemporary and the Classic is fuller. Can't really compare either to the contemporary really.

Went in Saturday to try on my first MTO shirt. 6 weeks quoted was only 4 :)

I think it fits great, excuse the terrible pic & wrinkles; really doesn't do it justice. I chose a blue flannel and the material & construction is very nice. Saw a full day of wear, shopping, dinner, and wrestling with the little ones on the floor.

Wanted to check out the oxfords, but I can wait for the release. Very happy with the shirt, made a slight change to the next 2, and we will go from there. Looking forward to refreshing my shirt collection. Great product, worth the price! Thanks guys!

Our development continues with the new BD collar. Here it is on a Royal Oxford Cloth. Very elegant.
This is worth waiting for, any idea when this hits the website?

just placed my first order for a couple pairs of pants (camel flannel slim & heathered grey slim). Can't wait to get them. Look forward to trying shirts and sport coat at some point.

happy holidays!

what fit is the solid blue sportcoat? does anyone have any comment on what colour combo of pants would look best with it, not sure if my monitor is giving me the best representation of colour.

also, does anyone have any comment on the difference between the suit jackets and the sport coats? are the SCs shorter or any less structured?

Fit is similar to the contemporary. Length is 1 cm shorter, not any real significance. They are less structured as the canvas is softer and the layers are reduced for a more casual look/feel.

End of Feb is the target release. The fit is near identical to this season, but the styling is changed up slightly.

Looking to pick up a suit for work. I was looking at the medium blue sharkskin - any thoughts on how well that'd go over in a relatively conservative workplace? Would the plain navy be a better first choice?

Also, I am thinking about ordering potentially two different sizes to see which is a better fit. Could I order both and return one? (in the US btw).

I work in a conservative environment (law firm) and either would be acceptable for a client meeting, imo. I really liked the sharkskin in person. It has an interesting texture, but is not shiny.

If you don't have many suits, it would be more noticeable if you were wearing the sharkskin twice a week than if you were wearing a straight navy twice a week.

Probably a good idea to try more than one size. If you are kind of between two sizes and don't want to order both, you may want to size up. I had to.

I've seen the plain blue in person as well. The colour is more of a blue than a navy, but I didn't find it to be jarring or too blue. Not as bright as a royal blue, but somewhere between that and navy.

I can't remember right now how structured the shoulders were in comparison to the suit. I do know that neither were overly structured or bulky, imo.

the sharkskin is a great colour, i bought the pants for business casual, but i would definitely buy a navy suit if you don't have one before the sharkskin suit. that's what im doing anyways but the sharkskin is definitely up there as a top choice for me

Just stumbled across this thread. I am actually in the area of your showroom 2-3 times a week. I'll have to come and have a look!
