Promised photos. I shined up the Tan pair of calf shoes with saphir, which is a wonderful product from the board sponsor "Hanger Project". Still waiting on the deer bone to shine up the cordovan pairs. Thanks to this board for helping me find this great shoemaker. I have had pairs of Aldens, which are great shoes, but very large compared to the Carmina. I will eventually have to put up for sale the burgundy cordovan belt I ordered, which is too small, or maybe find an incentive to lose weight. Shoes are stiff, but have already noticed the soles loosen up a bit and very comfortable. Betty is very good to work with and very prompt with e-mail responses. The shoes shipped Fedex around the 8th of this month and still waiting on the customs bill, but not sure if they would send it. I accidentally stated that they were shipped DHL, but those were the Momotaro order I put in through Japan. I didn't get dinged with customs with that order yet (keeping fingers crossed). I am sure the U.S. will eventually have to become more strict with import duties to get as much taxes collected from us working.

YEEEEAAAAAHHHH!!!! Lovely collection all in one purchase! Congrats!

Does anyone know if it's possible to buy extra boot-sized bags from Carmina? I recently reorganized my shoes to store many of them in their bags and boxes and found that a pair shipped with shoe-sized bags. Not a big deal, but it would be nice to have bags that fit.

Thank you.  Part of our inspiration for our navy cordovan boot MTO came from pictures of your navy boots. :worship:

How versatile do you find the navy shell? I'm contemplating making my first Carmina purchase by picking up the navy shell Bryant double monk from epaulet. I prefer the burgundy Salinger they have, but they don't have my size.

In other words...convince me to go with the navy shell!

There's a shoe thread dedicated to uncommon colors but I seldom see people actually wearing them. I really wanted some Loden green Carminas or racing green GG's but 99.5% of the pictures are of shoes just sitting there. I've now got the impression green (and to a far lesser extent, navy) is bought to store on a shelf and take pictures of from time to time.

Not sure about green but I have a pair of Carmina navy shell double monks that I enjoy wearing with most any of my suits. I suppose some may not like that idea but I do.

Good question. Calf.

Pinkpanther, would you be in for a pair if it was Simpson? I'll get the price.. if I recall, its just shy of $500 per pair, shipped.

Mrjester mentioned to me he would like to run this through as at Skoaktiebolaget. The price will be approx. $455 (2720 SEK +300 SEK shipping) shipped to the US (or anywhere outside the EU for that matter).

We'd love to do this model for you guys, let me know if you need any further assistance from me.

Sounds good to me, does the price include shoe trees?

No, it doesn't.

ETA: I should clarify that my past MTO for the same price had no mention of shoe trees, so it's unlikely and unexpected. Skoab has their own shoe trees that you could order with yours if you wanted. They're $640SEK ($98ish).

Regularly wear 'uncommon' colors but they are EG and I don't want to disrespect the thread and start posting picks. Don't have green but I wear blues, grays, etc.

Carmina makes great colors I have to say. I really like the lighter tans.

Dark navy shell is the most versatile color for a shoe and I think most all owners would agree. Initally, i was worried that over time the color would fade to a lighter blue with green hues but the navy is as dark as the first wear
