Because Making Your Own Harris Tweed Is (No) Laughing Matter

did a search and while it has been mentioned, i didn't see this posted anywhere here so I figured I'd share- it's a pretty interesting short on harris tweed done by Vic Reeves that I saw the other day on esq. certainly not new by any means but it may give you some additional appreciation for the fabric, i know it certainly has for me.

British comedian and actor Vic Reeves was given the uncommon opportunity to make the "Reeves Weave": he picks the colors, visits the home weaver of and eventually has a suit made from his very own tweed (one of the most important fabrics for Fall 2010) on the Isle of Harris. While watching the silly but informative video we were struck with equal parts amusement, fascination, and jealousy.

God bless Vic, a great tweed wearer. I loved when he was trying to blend in with the landscape in his rust tweed suit.
