Generally, it looks rather smart. It's not as badly Bangled as some of the recent designs.

Flame surfacing gone wild - but not as bad as the 7 series was initially.

I like it alot more than the last gen 3 series.
Rear deck/taillight assembly screams "Toyota" to me though.

i was thinking the same thing; i like it from the front and side, but from the back, the design is way too conservative.

everyone i know says the same thing. The back-end looks like a cheap japanese car.

Personally, I liked the old 3-series a lot better.

"Cheap" is a relative term. Have you seen how much they want for Toyotas and Hondas right now? Good lord.

Has anyone else noticed how close to the 7 series is the design of the new Camry? Scary

The profile, the front and back ALL scream Japan to me. The side looks rather close to the profile of the Scion tC as well as the Infiniti G35 2-dr, the front-end has a distinctly Honda slope-iness, and the back looks like Toyota.

But as Tokyo pointed out, looking like a Honda or Toyota is only making it look $2000 cheaper. The new Civics are in the $22-$24k range (the base prices are still much more affordable).

I like it! But I'd have to see one in real life before I'm sure. BTW, the twin-turbo engine is intro'ed with this car: note the 335 designation. 300 hp and 300 ft-lbs (don't know the RPMs).

edit: another thing I noticed is that it has an iDrive controller but no nav screen visible. Perhaps it has a popup screen.

If I had a 6 series, I'd be pissed regardless. Thing is ass ugly. The E92 is similar but better. Less of the Bungled "look at how much I 'stand out'"!
