I was wondering if someone could comment on the quality of Fratelli Rossetti shoes.  I recently purchased a narrow brown blucher with squared-off toe from Filene's Basement.  Leather is very soft -- maybe too soft.  Definitely not worth the $500 "retail" price, probably not worth the $350 "sales" price, but I think it was a good buy for the $172 "clearance" price (which included use of a $50 rewards card).  I'm assuming that it's in the neighborhood of Ferragamo and Bruno Magli.

I have those and am fairly pleased, although I needed some moral support from this forum to start wearing them.

I belive they are mid-quality Italians, sort of like the Grensons of Italy. Not Lobbs but not Loakes either.

For the price purchased I think you got fair market value. Most of the Fratelli line seems very fashion forward and overpriced. Altough from the looks of the shoes posted they look mildly elegant, odd color though.

I am no shoe expert, but I do own most of the brands mentioned in this thread--Loake, Rossetti, Magli. In my view, Rossetti shoes look decent when they are new, but they tend to lose their shape and you need to baby its leather. Magli seems to be more durable and suitable as a day to day work shoes. The leather used on Loake is pretty horrible, stick to black colour if you get their shoes.
