Oscar Wylee is an Austaliran sunglasses and spectacles manufacturer who offers so much more than just frames with lenses. I first heard of Oscar Wylee online and I was immediately intrigued because of the variety of models they offer but also because of their services like “home try-on” as well as their eye tests. Oscar Wylee has a showroom in Sidney and even though I have not visited it, it has to be a joy to experience, if it is half as good as their online customer service.
I got in touch with Oscar Wylee and they were so kind and sent me the Leo in Crystal Clear. I received the package in six days, via DHL. I opened the package and it revealed a marvelously simplistic box which encased the case with the glasses inside.
My two favorite brands are Garrett Leight and Salt Optics. My primary daily frames change between those two brands I am simply on love with my glasses. Little did I know that I was up for a surprise with the Oscar Wylee Leo’s.
I opened up the case to find the stunningly beautiful and mesmerizing eyeglasses in Crystal Clear. They were magnificent. The Leo eyeglasses draw their roots from Gregory Peck as well as Woody Allen but make no mistake, these spectacles are no copy whatsoever. They are genuinely magnificent and unique and if this style if you and suits your head shape, you will love wearing eyeglasses like never before.
These last two years, the color choice of Crystal Clear has been more and more popular and I personally think that the Leos are one of the top three eyeglasses in Crystal Clear which you can purchase. A lot of my friends complimented me on the glasses and they too loved this effect. I don’t have fuller cheeks and I had no issues with the glasses sitting awkwardly on my cheeks when I smile or laugh but some people with fuller cheeks might have this issues, though I doubt it.
All of the Oscar Wylee frames are individually cut from premium sheets of Italian-made acetate. Eyeglasses made from this particularly versatile material are extremely supple and effervescent, and can produce an ample bundle of vibrant colors and structures. These frames are complemented by some of the sturdiest hinges for absolute comfort and durability. As always, when getting a new pair of glasses online, I am a bit terrified that it will be too tight or too loose and it has been the case will all my previous “online endeavours”. I had no discomfort issues whatsoever. Not behind the ears, not on my nose yet I was never scared that the frames will fall or even slide off. I am positive that these frames will keep their dependability, balance and adherence for whatever may come their way.
Oscar Wylee also offers prescription lenses and as with the entire customer service experience they were efficient, fast and always kind and they provided me with prescription lenses for the model they sent over. As with every other aspect, the lenses were impeccable. No night reflection, no sunlight reflection and certainly no “orange peel” effect.
What’s in the box?
This is maybe the only department left for Oscar Wylee to improve. The Leo in Crystal Clear can be yours for $99 and you get the frames, a very big and study case with a large micro fiber cloth inside.
If you are used to a Tom Ford frames treatment, you will get it minus the little letters and certificates you get in a Tom Ford box but let’s not forget, there are no Tom Ford frames for $100.
So, would I recommend Oscar Wylee to anyone looking to purchase new eyeglasses or sunglasses?
Yes, most definitely without a doubt. You will get top notch quality, latest design and if the need rises, you will get an astonishing customer service. If you are not sure what you want from the palette Oscar Wylee offers, you can do a Home Try On and get five pairs of glasses which you can choose. If you are satisfied with any of the pairs, you keep them and send back the rest.
So, if you are looking for prodigious quality, latest perspective in design and looking not to cough up a lot of money, Oscar Wylee is the place to go.
