I never owned this pair, but I did proxy a pair for a friend in Brazil who loved Florsheim shoes.
The first pair we bought from the Florsheim site had to be returned due to QC problems.

These looked fine. I don't remember exactly how much we payed, but we did get a deal(30%+ off).
I would buy a used pair of AEs or Aldens, but if you need a new pair of shoes these will do.

Tips:
Vintage NOS(New Old Stock) Made in USA Florsheim Imperial shoes can be had on ebay for less than $150.
