    Wesco Boots!

Wesco doesn't offer suede boots. Roughout, full leather with the flesh side out, is the closest thing to suede. And the pic of the roughout boots you posted appears to be the standard boss toe, as opposed to the bump toe. Hard to tell for sure, though.

Nicks Handmade Boots Official Affiliate Thread

The predator orange roughout is VERY orange. Too orange for me, but very distinctive.

Nicks Handmade Boots Official Affiliate Thread

Feet don't sweat as much in pull on boots because they're not laced tightly to the foot so you have air circulation. Great boots in the summer and winter both.

    Wesco Boots!

It's not even remotely olive. It's color is close to that of a burlap sack or desert tan. Wesco does not use nubuck Burlap is a burlap sack color, sort of a desert tan. It's a little thinner than the standard leather and is oil-tanned, as their website says. They don't offer any nubuck...

    Nicks Boots

Uh-huh. But is the stupid-looking sole with all the curlicues (or whatever) really necessary?

    Preventing fades in selvedge denim

Are you washing them too frequently? I assume your office work does not require you to sweat, so unless you have an intestinal gas problem, your jeans should not need to be washed more than every dozen wearings or so. When you do wash them, I'm sure you know to turn them inside out so some of...

AE Normandy Boots Black with Jeans

It's fine. After all, loggers and wildfire hotshot crews' boots are virtually always black.

    Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts?

Man, I've had lots of boots with the full 430 sole and heel. They wear like iron and offer great traction as well. In fact, I've worn out some of the boots, but not the soles.

Comment by 'mrpoizun' in article 'Styleforum Visits Viberg Boot Company'

I tried to order some Viberg engineer boots once. They were impossible to communicate or work with. They're only interested in the Japanese market.

Do you look down on the way strangers dress?

I do look down on men wearing suits to work. Let's face it; in today's world it's the dregs of society who wear suits, the lowest of the low- politicians, lawyers, bankers, brokers, CEO's, etc. Most decent people don't even wear suits to church anymore. Then there's the people who wear shorts...

    Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts?

I doubt that White's would make one of their boots with a Cuban heel for any price. I think you're referring to their standard heel, which could be considered a logger heel, or even cowboy heel, but definitely NOT a cuban heel. A cuban heel is a short based (front to back), undershot, medium...

what brand jeans is your favorite ?

Levis. Anything else would seem weird. Never heard of Levis. I'm surprised Levi's doesn't sue them.

    Are Levi 501s uncool?

I haven't bought a pair of 501s since they stopped being made in the USA (not counting the $200 kind), but they used to always be a lower rise than standard. Frankly, a guy in super low rise jeans looks like he mugged Britney Spears and stole her pair. In other words, not too manly. The same for...

Road trip to Portland, Or. what are some good shops to visit

Can't believe no one's mentioned Wesco boots in Scapoose, just a half-hour north of Portland. Might not want to go there if you're not into $400 and up engineer and other style all American boots.

Anyone else hate dark denim? Recommend good light denim here!

Well then, you've got loose, relaxed and I don't know how many other fat fits, or you've got regular, slim, super slim or shrink to fit...... What type of body do you have that none of these are comfortable? If you want opinions without any idea if they will be helpful, I think regular fit jeans...

Taking the start my own t-shirt line plunge

I think having a t-shirt with an athletic fit is a good start. Everything is made for fat people nowadays. Eliminating the floppy sleeves that go down to the elbow and substituting a slimmer sleeve that only covers the shoulder would be a revolutionary idea. Imagine, a short sleeve t-shirt...

Anyone else hate dark denim? Recommend good light denim here!

Come on. If you can't find comfortable jeans, you aren't trying. There's probably literally a million different brands. And any that are pre-faded are going to be comfortable in feel if not in fit.

Leather Jackets: Post Pictures of the Best You've Seen/Owned?

In all seriousness, though: why is it that the sleeves are supposed to be that long? I can understand it when the jacket has ribbed cuffs, with the cuffs functioning as some kind of ersatz gloves, but on jackets such as the one Pitt is wearing above, elongated sleeves just make it look like the...
