    Suits?

    I don't have any specific suggestions, but if it helps any, the pattern of the suit is called "tone on tone" (sometimes misspelled "ton on ton") or "shadow stripe".

    My understanding (which may be faulty) is that HF makes (made?) versions of their suits specifically for certain retailers.      What does "might be" mean? Did they not say what it's supposed to be? "Semi-formal" means "suit" to the majority of the English-speaking world. Who invented the definition of semi-formal you're using? Vest + tie = waiter uniform.

    Tried http://www.martindingman.com/ ? You could consider getting the brass buckled one you like and having the buckle replaced. Depends on the construction, but typically this isn't hard to do. Getting all your leather completely matchy-matchy isn't such a great thing.

    I would not recommend a black bow tie unless you are wearing a tuxedo. A black bow tie with dark suit suggests you could not afford a complete tuxedo but are trying to make it look like you are wearing one. There aren't any hard rules about color/patterns for bow ties, but if it is a daytime...
