    Caffeine

Tend to drink a a cup every day or two. Not a lot. Caffeine addiction isn't something to be scared of, I know. I just don't really need/want coffee too often. The caffeine does nothing for me so I'm really just drinking it for the taste. As others have already mentioned, just dump the...

    the college student nutrition thread

Paleo college student here. My meals tend to be uniform in size and I do 3 meals a day. Pretty much always a meat + 1-2 veggies. Supplement with omega 3 and vitamin d (it was on sale and winter is pretty much here). Too poor and lazy to eat grassfed most of the time (the nearest butcher that...

Calling all LLBean Katahdin Iron Works Boots owners

I feel your pain. I went to the LL Bean store in my area tried on the pair that was similar to the Katahdin's and thought a 10.5 wide would fit. Got the 10.5 wide in the mail and they were def. big. Tried returning for a 10.5 reg. and all sold out. That was over 2 months ago. I decided to try...

Movember - One month with a moustache

I didn't plan on doing Movember but 10 days into the month without needing to shave (asian genes as well) made me curious as to what it would look like at the end of the month. There's still not a lot there... Pretty sure there are some people who grow more in one day than I do in a month.

Watch Faces - What is too big?

Acceptable watch size diameters have been growing over the years... 40-42 is pretty much standard. I have small wrists myself and generally prefer the 36-38 size. As already noted, design will affect the look. I feel that 42mm with mostly dial showing is a little too big for me yet I tried on a...

Calling all LLBean Katahdin Iron Works Boots owners

Oh, what the hell. Just got off the phone with LL Bean. The person I got told me the 10.5s probably won't be in stock until Spring. I asked if she was sure about that and she said yes.

Yeah I'm probably just going to send these back and wait until the 10.5s are back in stock. They fit a bit better with thick socks but it still doesn't feel right..

Calling all LLBean Katahdin Iron Works Boots owners

Damnnn. Just remembered why ordering a 10.5 in the first place didn't even cross my mind. They were out of stock. I think I'll just keep these ones and wear thick socks with them.

They loosen up a bit after you wear them around, about the same time as the ankles stop hurting. I think sizing down a half is best So they should fit snug at first and loosen up? It feels like I've got a good amount of clearance in them right now... guess I'm exchanging them for a half size down.

Calling all LLBean Katahdin Iron Works Boots owners

Ordered a pair on Sunday. Delivered to my place by Wednesday. I live in Canada so this seemed damn quick to me. Normally wear an 11D in most shoes so I ordered TTS like most suggest. . How loose should these feel with thin socks? I think I could size down to 10.5 but don't want to risk it not...

The official thrift/discount store bragging thread

Went thrifting this last weekend and it was total bust. At the end of the day, all I had to show for it was a cheap hole puncher (needed another one for home) and a hardcover copy of Stephen King's newest book.

Looking for a classic, but modern watch

Is there a recommended online seller of Seiko's that ships to Canada? I am liking the look and the price point matches my empty wallet. Best bet for the lowest pricepoint is probably grey market off ebay. Always remember you're buying the seller not the product. Do your research and make sure...
