I think that on reflection the issue must be the waterproofing/ wax rather than the colouring; apparently you can't dry clean any wax jackets. There seem to be specialist wax jacket cleaners; I'll just send it to them if the Granger's doesn't help.- volatile

Hmmmm... I might give this a go, but there are *lots* of spots. What are the reasons that the label states "This fabric is not suitable for washing"? Why isn't it? What's the worst case scenario if I hand wash it with detergent in a bucket?- volatile
