Leather Jackets: Post Pictures of the Best You've Seen/Owned?

When I first started working with this leather (actually all the vintage elephant pieces I have produced over the last several years have come from this one specific hide), I knew it would be a subject of controversy. This was a conscious move to explore the usage of materials that were not...

Thank you for the kind words @docdocgs ! Yes, for some of the one-off pieces like the boro jacket and the reversible Icelandic reindeer, the material is/was rare enough that I could only make one. For the other pieces, they can be made to order and size. Aside from 1 store in Tokyo, I...

@sinnedk yep! Good eye. They're my black tornados purchased from Atelier back when they were still in Crosby street... I got them back in 2005 or 6. Retail back then was $1450. These days that buys you one shoe at retail it seems.

@nahneun for sure. I hate the see-thru shirting fabrics used so often. I never understood why those became acceptable as no one wants to see your undershirt/tank top through your top layer!

Nothing at the moment.... I am currently working on a button up shirt as part of the Collateral Suiting project though which should be done in the coming 1-2 months. I have been thinking about some long sleeve/short sleeve designs as I have some really nice fabric for it, just have not...

Images of all of garments in the 5th iteration worn along with the weekender bags as to get an idea of the size and carrying capabilities. Several of you had asked for these and apologies that they took a bit longer to get them all taken and edited. Daylight is not as long into the evening as I...

@Lohikaarme, I honestly am not completely sure if Sruli will go back to garment design. As you probably know, he has been spending at least some time on industrial design work with Pillar and more recently the Norlan glass. He may or may not have the bandwidth to do more garment work. We have...

@myshoeiswet haha just takes a bit of time management and late nights :) Good eye! You're close... I used the chinese character for king for the stitching/anchoring for the bags. It was not initially on purpose as I was thinking about anchoring but I wanted something that remained...

The 5th iteration of my 10 year long project Collateral Concepts This collection focused on materials research (with kind collaboration from Sruli Recht), a story behind the fabrics and giving new life to old materials while refining tailoring concepts. This is a highly limited collection with...

@LA Guy, this single donje came directly from Japan thanks to a friend out there that could source out original boro pieces that weren't in tatters. A number of collectors out there that have pieces now and then that they are willing to part with. I have leather scissors as well as ceramic...

Thank you so much! That piece was incredibly challenging to not only cut out the pieces of but to construct. The original donje from which it was constructed was anywhere from 12-20 layers thick and the fabric is hemp which can be super dense and strong. Worked up quite a sweat and went...

Hi everyone! Eck and others have been kind enough to point me towards the recent discussions on here. First, many many thanks to FPS, Eck and everyone else that has supported my endeavor over the years. What had started off as a small project 10 years ago has become something that I never would...
