Bought a pair of the 34/34 Raw Straights in August. I wanted 33/34s but these have worked out pretty well. Probably about 2 weeks of total wear between then and October. I still have been wearing the same pair of authentics and barely have any fading. I washed them once (1 year?) and they lost almost no color. I really like these jeans. can anyone else confirm this?- chineseboy

cool, thanks guys. now the problem is whether i should return them for 29s or 28s. someone on hypbeast said 28 but that seems kinda crazy to me. i'm a 31 in 511's and my broken twill SG 31's fit pretty good so sizing down 3 on weird guys seems pretty out there. oh yea, they were priced around $650, ~150 more than goose. choices for a warm, stylish, quality down jacket for canadian winters in the ~500-600 range seem so few- chineseboy

i stumbled across these jackets in a boutique. they seem to have very similar traits to the overly popular canada goose, difference being not everyone you know has one. they quality was quite impressive in person, goose down, real fur, the material looked very authentic. they're a pretty new...- chineseboy

Delaying crotch blowouts
noone responded to my idea of applying some sort of wax/wax like substance to the crotch area to decrease friction. since denim is so fibrous, i'm sure making it more slippery would go a long way in delaying crotch blowouts. i'm sure it won't be too noticeable, and it's not that farfetched since...- chineseboy

They really aren't though. That "affordable, raw, selvedge denim, blah, blah, blah" niche is supersaturated at this point and there are far better options without dealing with marsupialed sizing and the blandest denim on the planet. way to follow up on this respect--;- chineseboy
