Allen Edmonds vs. Alden--Which American Great Do You Prefer?!! OFFICIAL
Allen Edmonds for sure. First of all, Alden is tough to get in my size (14E), and AE offers excellent quality, much wider retailer network with excellent customer support. Also, you can often score AE on a great sale, unlike Alden.- lithdoc

I use xxxl for my ae 14e and other 14d. They're definitely not too big for those, so I would suggest against getting the smaller ones. I hope this helps!- lithdoc

They do look like this on purpose. However, there is a reason why they are $250 and not the now-current regular price of $335. They are not lined, just a single layer of leather inside. You obviously don't know what you're talking about. People who make garments through UNITE make ~$40-50k, much more than minimum wage. Acquisition cost of say, country club blazer vs. blazer made in Thailand for BB differs by an order of magnitude.- lithdoc

I have same frustrations as the OP. While I understand that retailers are trying to save money by manufacturing for less, I find it offensive when BB put a $99 for $129 price on a MIC golf shirt, when it probably cost them <$5 to make that shirt.
