    Awesome. Where are you getting these things? Estate Sales The best cellar so far was in West Virginia part of the Bloch Brothers tobacco dynasty, next best was in Minneapolis for the Jay and Rose Phillips ( Phillips Liquor) estate. There is a handful of bottles I'm still debating about opening.

    Just mixed up something that I made up: a Calvados Rob Roy 2 parts Domaine DuPont Calvados 1 part Carpano Antica vermouth Lavender bitters Stirred, served up, lemon twist - B Now that sounds interesting!

    You know it doesn't improve once it's bottled, right? It's a tough question to answer. You'd need to find someone who drank it in 1938 and then again 25, 50 or 70 years later. I've had plenty of bottles that went bad from evaporation or became infused with bad tastes from years shoddy storage...

    Mmmm, Calvados! Boulard to be exact. Preceded by a Belgian Ale and a 3/4 a bottle of a mild Bordeaux blend and a glass of chardonnay.

    Did a bit more research, so it looks like the maker is Mayer of HK in the Mandarin Hotel still not sure about the turtle though. I'm not about to make a turtle shoe soup stock but I do have a rather large taxidermied sea turtle in storage. I suppose that's an option.
