Is there anything wrong with what I think is considered an OCBD from Brooks Brothers? I'm just looking for a casual white button-down shirt (as I do not yet have one) to wear during the summer with shorts. If the above shirt is unacceptable, what would you suggest?- Laika

Sneaker wise really your only option in that price range is classic vans canvas laceups or classic keds canvas laceups. peacoat wise get one from an army navy store and have it tailored. should be under 100 bucks. just size down. I want canvas or leather sneakers for less than $80 that go well with jeans and graphite and burgundy corduroy. Absolutely no Chuck Taylors, and I'm already aware of Jack Purcells, so other suggestions would be very helpful. I might end up just picking up a pair of the good kind of Converse...- Laika

i was looking for the same thing for ages, and when I finally gave up, I found a pair on the sunglasses rack at savemart for $8. they are surprisingly good quality too. Haha, nice. Do they have any indication of who they're made by?- Laika

Does anyone know off the top of their head a pair of sunglasses that look like Wayfarers but don't have quite such a large lens vertically? I think I've seen a few around; they're basically Wayfarers with a degree of subtlety. Thanks.- Laika

You are on the wrong side of SF. You can wear a peacoat with anything, because it's a coat and should come off once you're indoors. Oh okay, that makes sense. Thanks for the clarification. I'm not a fan of either pair of those shoes. What don't you like about them?- Laika
